Trading ended with 28 securities changing hands with prices of 11 advancing, 11 declining, 6 remaining unchanged and resulted in an exchange of 5,067,017 units valued at $23,716,252 compared to 2,138,664 units at $11,183,538 from 30 securities changing hands on Tuesday.
Trading closed with an average of 180,965 units for an average of $847,009 in contrast to 71,289 units for an average of $372,785 on Tuesday. The average volume and value for the month to date amounts to 124,236 units valued at $601,721. In contrast, September closed with an average of 954,574 units valued at $2,612,695 for each security traded.

Dolphin Cove climbed 1 cent and exchanged 307,716 shares at $10.01, Derrimon Trading exchanged 188,278 shares, after rising 6 cents to end at $2.42, Express Catering closed 30 cents higher at $6.30, with 19,785 stock units trading, Everything Fresh lost 4 cents in swapping 9,600 shares to close at $1.21. Fontana ended market activity exchanging 127,784 shares to close at $8.30 after falling 15 cents, General Accident dipped 60 cents in trading of 628,164 units at $6.31. Jamaican Teas fell 30 cents trading of 25,248 units at $6, Jetcon Corporation fell 20 cents in trading of 71,233 units at $2, Knutsford Express dipped 10 cents in trading 10,310 units at $11, Lasco Distributors closed trading of 3,069,824 units and gained 15 cents to end at $3.70. Lasco Financial ended with 94,729 shares crossing the exchange, after rising 5 cents to end at $5.05, Lasco Manufacturing closed with a loss of 20 cents at $5.20, after swapping 31,500 shares. Limners and Bards closed 7 cents higher at $2.82, with 88,901 stock units trading, Paramount Trading lost 20 cents in trading of 6,721 units at $2 and Stationery and Office Supplies dipped 79 cents in trading of 62,770 units to end at $10.80.

Lasco Manufacturing closed with a loss of 10 cents at $5.40, in swapping of 20,753 shares, Limners and Bards lost 22 cents in exchanging of 201,729 units at $2.75 and Stationery and Office Supplies dropped by 81 cents to settle at $11.59. In the junior market preference segment, Paramount Trading close with a loss of 15 cents to close at a 52 weeks’ low of $2.05 after swapping of 500 shares.

Trading on the Junior Market of the Jamaica Stock Exchange ended on Friday with the market index climbing 46.90 points to close at 3,478.33 as rising stocks dominated trading nearly 4 to 1.
Jetcon Corporation closed trading of 7,942 units and gained 29 cents to end at $2.09, Knutsford Express added $1.60 to end at $12.50 with 102,656 stock units trading. Lasco Distributors rose 7 cents and exchanged 571,096 shares at $3.32, Lasco Manufacturing ended trading with 151,959 shares, after rising 20 cents to end at $5.40, Limners and Bards closed 30 cents higher at $2.80, with 226,883 stock units trading, Main Event ended exchanging 4,854 shares, after rising 33 cents to end at $6.05. Medical Disposables dipped 40 cents in trading of 3,943 units at $7, Paramount Trading closed 20 cents higher at $2.20, with the trading of 45,700 stock units and Stationery and Office Supplies gained $1.40 to end at $12.40 with 11,000 stock units changing hands.
The Junior Market Index jumped 45.19 points to close at 3,443.97 in trading on Tuesday and almost erased the 50 points fall on Monday.

The company’s subsidiary, QWI Investments released the prospectus after closing on Monday and it provided information that shareholders of Jamaica Teas, are entitled to buy shares at a preferential price. Jetcon Corporation closed 9 cents higher at $2.19, with 75,062 stock units trading, Knutsford Express fell 50 cents in trading of 2,496 units at $11, Lasco Distributors ended with a loss of 1 cent at 3.34 with 149,874 stock units changing hands. Lasco Financial closed trading of 10,700 units and gained 29 cents to end at $5.01, Lasco Manufacturing ended trading with 137,702 shares, after rising 9 cents to end at $5.69, Main Event declined by 48 cents to settle at $6.52 after exchanging 1,122 units and Stationery and Office Supplies declined by 32 cents to settle at $12.51 trading 37,100 shares.
