Investors exchanged 2,691,652 shares valued at $16,496,761.57 compared to 2,931,663 units valued at $14,603,294 trading from 29 securities on Tuesday. The selloff in the market that comes with the release of the prospectus on Monday for the sale of shares in QWI Investments, is consistent with recent trends as some investors seek funds to invest new share issue.
Trading ended with an average of 86,827 units for an average of $532,154 in contrast to 101,092 units for an average of $503,562 on Tuesday. The average volume and value for the month to date amounts to 1,967,767 units valued at $4,243,153 and previously 2,255,004 units valued at $4,809,858 for each security traded. In contrast, August ended with an average of 232,398 units valued at $1,072,851 for each traded security.

Jamaican Teas closed 47 cents higher at a 52 weeks’ closing high of $7.97, with 629,009 stock units changing, hands, Jetcon Corporation shed 4 cents in trading of 81,058 units to end at $2.15, Limners and Bards lost 3 cents in trading 382,871 shares to close at $2.97. Lasco Distributors lost 19 cents in swapping 1,723 shares to close at $3.15, Lasco Financial ended trading with 717 shares, after rising 27 cents to end at $5.28, Lasco Manufacturing shed 58 cents in trading of 3,500 units at $5.11, Main Event ended market activity exchanging 156,203 shares to close at $6.50 after falling 2 cents. Paramount Trading exchanged 10,000 shares to close at $1.78 after falling 22 cents, Stationery and Office Supplies ended with a loss of 1 cent at $12.50 with 57,593 stock units changing hands and tTech lost 1 cent to close at $5 with 1,000 stock units changing hands.
