Junior Market down but set to rise

The Junior Market Index slipped on Friday but IC bid-offer Indicator with a reading of 10 to 2 points to a positive opening for the market on Monday.
Trading ended with 24 securities changing hands up from 26 on Thursday and closing with prices of 10 securities advancing, 12 declining and 2 remaining unchanged. The Junior Market Index declined by 22.10 points to 3,460.88 as investors exchanged 1,829,747 units valued at $8,214,344 compared to 2,691,652 shares valued at $16,496,762 on Thursday.  
Trading ended with an average of 76,239 units at $342,264 for each security traded, in contrast to 246,113 units for an average of $1,216,423 on Thursday. The average volume and value for the month to date amounts to 1,650,303 units valued at $3,636,406 and previously 1,795,602 units valued at $3,940,480 for each security traded. In contrast, August ended with an average of 232,398 units valued at $1,072,851 for each traded security.
IC bid-offer Indicator| At the end of trading, the Investor’s Choice bid-offer indicator reading shows 10 stocks ended with bids higher than their last selling prices and 2 closing with lower offers.
Stocks closing with price changes| AMG Packaging declined by 2 cents to settle at $2 after trading 5,526 shares, Blue Power closed trading of 62,700 units with gain of 15 cents to end at $9, CAC 2000 climbed $1.90 to settle at $15 with 30,130 shares changing hands, Caribbean Producers lost 3 cents in trading 33,760 units at $4.75. Consolidated Bakeries ended with a loss of 1 cent at $1.70 with 168,400 stock units changing hands, Derrimon Trading closed trading of 400,200 units resulting in a gain of 7 cents to end at $2.54, Everything Fresh ended with a loss of 1 cent at $1.31 with 191,210 stock units. Elite Diagnostic ended trading with 23,041 shares, after rising 3 cents to end at $5.45, Fosrich lost 4 cents in trading 42,392 shares to close at 5.30 cents, Fontana closed 15 cents higher at $8, with 191,870 stock units crossing the exchange. General Accident lost 35 cents at $6, in swapping of 100 shares, Honey Bun dipped 89 cents in trading 8,000 units at $5.51, Indies Pharma traded 51,075 units and gained 11 cents to end at $3.40, Iron Rock Insurance lost 57 cents in trading of 7,700 units at $3.36, ISP Finance lost 2 cents in trading 200 units at $25. Jamaican Teas shed 49 cents in exchanging 278,205 units at $6.50, Jetcon Corporation dipped 10 cents in trading of 40,000 units at $1.80, Limners and Bards lost 4 cents with 55,005 shares changing hands to close at $3.01, Lasco Distributors traded 27,450 units and gained 1 cent to end at $3.51. Lasco Financial climbed 40 cents and exchanged 39,675 shares at $5.40, Lasco Manufacturing climbed 2 cents trading 89,900 shares at $5.52 and Stationery and Office Supplies closed 33 cents higher at $12.83, with 10,150 stock units changing hands.
