Trading on the Trinidad & Tobago Stock Exchange on Monday resulted in 13 securities changing hands compared to 11 on Friday with the quantity of shares trading rising but with a lower value than on Friday.
The market closed with 2 stocks advancing, 2 declining and 9 holding firm as 538,622 shares traded at a value of $3,830,623 compared to Friday’s trades of 419,313 valued at $7,180,253.
The Composite Index gained 0.33 points to 1,228.65, the All T&T Index declined 0.10 points to 1,792.25 and the Cross Listed Index added 0.10 points to 89.23 points.

Gains| Two Jamaican based companies closed trading with the last traded price being higher than at the close on Friday. NCB Financial Group added 1 cent to close at a 52 weeks’ high of $4.51 with 3,500 units and Scotia Investments exchanged 123,646 shares with a rise of 5 cents to $2.25.

NCB closes at a new high on TTSE

NCBFG trades at new high in Trinidad on Friday of TT$4.50.

NCB Financial Holdings closed at new high on the Trinidad & Tobago Stock Exchange on Friday and have almost closed the gaping gap in trading prices between Jamaica and Trinidad. At the close 11 securities traded compared to 13 on Thursday.
Trading activity increased over Thursday’s levels by more than 100 percent in dollars and volume. With trading dominated by Angostura Holdings with 42 percent of the trades followed by Clico Investment and Trinidad & Tobago NGL with 27 percent and 23 percent respectively.
The market closed with 4 stocks having advanced, 1 declined and 6 were unchanged as 419,313 shares traded at a value of $$7,180,253 compared to Thursday’s trades of 210,213 valued at $3,263,460.
The Composite Index advanced 5.60 points to 1,228.32, the All T&T Index gained 0.60 points to 1,792.35 and the Cross Listed Index added 1.45 points to 89.13 points.

At the close, 5 stocks advanced, 2 declined and 7 were unchanged as 388,836 shares traded at a value of $2,901,484 compared to Tuesday’s trades of 184,873 valued at $2,280,674.
The Composite Index advanced 2.65 points to 1,222.56, the All T&T Index gained 0.39 points to 1,792.33 and the Cross Listed Index was up 0.67 points to 87.56 points.

Ansa McAl controls 85% of trading

Trading on the Trinidad & Tobago Stock Exchange on Tuesday saw Ansa McAL controlling 85 percent of the market’s value of trading, following on the heels of its acquisition of more than 80 percent of Berger Paints Trinidad and announced its intention to advise of an offer to shareholders by August 23.
The market closed with 12 securities changing hands compared to 16 on Monday with 5 stocks advancing, 2 declining and 5 remaining unchanged. A total of 147,398 shares traded, valued at $6,520,927 compared to Monday’s trades of 632,284 units valued at $6,004,307.
The Composite Index advanced 0.92 points to 1,216.93, the All T&T Index added 0.01 point to 1,792.40 and the Cross Listed Index gained 0.25 points to 86 points.
