The junior market index jumped by 41 points with one new high and Knutsford Express jumping $4 while main market stocks also rose.
Cargo Handlers traded 1,875 units climbing $7 to a new all-time high of $56 while Knutsford Express jumped $4 to $19 with just 316 units changing hands. Caribbean Cement traded 87,953 to at $24.95 for a rise of $1.95 while National Commercial Bank fresh from reporting a 25 percent jump in June quarter results has so far traded just 9,333 units at $42, with the bid at $42 with a small volume being demanded.
The all Jamaica Composite Index rose 427.71 points to 177,365.48 the Jamaica Stock Exchange Market Index climbed 422.44 points to 159,638.04, the Jamaica Stock Exchange combined index gained 382.44 points to close at 170,737.91 points andthe junior market index added 41.10 points to 2,199.47.
Trading at 10:45 am resulted in only 20 securities changing hands, accounting for a volume of 457,835 shares, with 7 securities rising and 8 falling. The average number of shares traded amounts to 22,892 units compared to 30,141 units on Thursday.
Junior index jumps 41 points – Friday
Lasco Distributors hits junior index – Wednesday
Lasco Distributors fell initially to $6.55 and headed back to $7.40 and helped hit the junior market index down by 41 points, but main market stocks also slipped but marginally.
The fall in the Lasco share price was in reaction to the company’s first quarter profit after tax of $175.4 million, or 33% more than the same period in 2015.
The market saw Scotia Investments trading 100,000 units at $25.01, JMMB Group 7.50% preference share traded 90,000 units at $1.10, Pan Jamaican Investment had 74,764 shares changing hands at $24.50 and Consolidated Bakeries traded 185,000 units at $2.15.
The all Jamaica Composite Index fell 29.18 points to 176,604.86 the Jamaica Stock Exchange Market Index is down 26.10 points to 158,957.91, the Jamaica Stock Exchange combined index declined 409.09 point to close at 169,565.09 points andthe junior market index dropped 37.51 points to 2,155.92.

Broilers trades 5m shares
The Jamaica stock market saw heavy trading in Jamaica Broilers Group with over 5 million shares with the bulk being crosses done by Scotia Investments.
The all Jamaica Composite Index fell 138.16 points to 176,289.78 the Jamaica Stock Exchange Market Index is down 123.54 points to 158,676.18, the Jamaica Stock Exchange combined index declined 170.79 point to close at 169,252.58 points andthe junior market index dropped 5.48 points to 2,150.93 with the jump in the price of Lasco Distributors.
Trading at 10:50 am resulted in only 27 securities changing hands, accounting for a volume of 7,009,625 shares, with 8 securities rising and only 12 falling. The average number of shares traded amounts to 259,616 compared to an average of 32,438 units on Monday.
Slow start for JSE – Monday
The Jamaica stock market is off to slow start within 75 minutes of the opening of market on Monday. The stocks with the highest volume are 1834 Investments with 204,000 units 
with the price rising to $1.17 and Jamaica Money Market Brokers 7.50% preference share with 104,545 units at $2.10.
Caribbean Cement that sold off on Friday is now seeing strong demand with bids to buy over 400,000 units at $20 to $22.41, having closed on Friday with little demand at the end of trading. The stock traded up to $22.55 in the morning session.

The Jamaica stock market is off to slow start with no stock trading over 100,000 units after 75 minutes of the opening of market. The stock with the highest volume is Lasco Distributors with 75,456 units at $7.50 after rising 40 cents.

JSE off to moderate start – Tuesday
Jamaica stocks is off to moderate start in trading on Tuesday morning after 80 minutes of the opening of market but the indices recorded modest gains with the market continuing to consolidate.
Securities trading over 100,000 units include Cable & Wireless that traded 200267 at $1.12, Derrimon Trading had 530,506 units trading at $3.05, Lasco Distributors with 143,689 shares at $7.10, National Commercial Bank having 179,342 shares changing hands at $42.

Kremi hits new high of $7.55
Jamaica stocks gained in trading on Monday in the main market but there was some slippage in the junior market although Caribbean Cream traded at a new high of $7.55,
up by 90 cents with 21,157 units as investors continue to respond to the company’s first quarter results.

JSE off to rousing start – Friday
Jamaica stocks started trading on Friday where they left off on Thursday with both the main market and the junior market indices rising. Caribbean Cream traded at a new high of $6.78 with 56,000 units as investors continue to respond to the company’s first quarter results.
The all Jamaica Composite Index jumped 1,506.48 points to 179,177.69, the Jamaica Stock 
Exchange Market Index gained 1,347.06 points to 161,258.48, the Jamaica Stock Exchange combined index climbed 1,499.13 point to close at 171,976.49 points andthe junior market index gained 19.20 points to 2,177.83.
Trading after 75 minutes of the market’s opening resulted in 23 securities changing hands, accounting for a volume of 1,330,966 shares with the average number of shares traded amounts to 63,379 units compared to an average of 45,559 units on Thursday. Trading has so far resulted in 10 stocks gaining and 6 declining as stocks trading over 100,000 units include Cable & Wireless that traded 167,000 at $1.12, Consolidated Bakeries traded 400,000 shares at $2.10, Honey Bun with 185,000 units traded at $5.60 and Lasco Manufacturing with 236,850 shares trading at $5.05.
