The All Jamaican Composite Index jumped 3,559.20 points to 396,043.87, the JSE Main Index climbed 2,768.71 points to 348,180.63 and the JSE Financial Index popped 0.93 points to settle at 82.91.
A total of 11,174,825 shares were traded for $201,235,785 compared to 6,062,724 units at $21,930,574 on Thursday.
Trading averaged 199,550 shares at $3,593,496, up from 101,045 stocks at $365,510 on Thursday and month to date, an average of 139,372 units at $1,474,729 compared to 120,650 units at $815,557 on the previous day. December closed with an average of 604,110 units at $4,072,598.
Transjamaican Highway led trading with 6.36 million shares for 57 percent of total volume, followed by PanJam Investment with 1.07 million units for 9.6 percent of the day’s trade, Massy Holdings with 1.05 million units for 9.4 percent market share and Wisynco Group with 1.04 million units for 9.3 percent market share.

The Main Market of the Jamaica Stock Exchange ended trading on Thursday, with a decline in the index for a second day running after the number of stocks rising outpaced those falling three to two as the volume of stocks traded declined 18 percent while the value dropped 62 percent lower than Wednesday’s close, after trading in 60 securities compared to  58 on Wednesday, with 26 rising, 17 declining and 17 ending unchanged.
A total of 6,062,724 shares were traded for a mere $21,930,574 down from 7,402,150 units at $57,740,739 on Wednesday. Trading averages 101,045 units at $365,510 versus 127,623 shares at $995,530 on Wednesday and month to date, an average of 120,650 units at $815,557, compared to 130,452 units at $1,040,581 on the previous day. Stock rising and falling was almost evenly matched at the close of market activity on the Main Market of the Jamaica Stock Exchange on Wednesday, following a 10 percent slide in the volume of stocks traded with a 14 percent lower value than on Tuesday and a significant fall in the market index, with 58 securities trading compared to 62 on Tuesday, with 23 rising, 24 declining and 11 ending unchanged.

Trading picked up sharply on the Jamaica Stock Exchange Main Market on Friday to close out the year on a positive note, with the volume of stocks traded surging 1,574 percent as the value jumped 1,552 percent over trading levels on Thursday and helping the market to put in one of the most bullish two days for the year, but that could not prevent the market from falling lower than it opened the year. 
At the close, 60 securities traded compared to 58 on Thursday, with 28 rising, 16 declining and 16 ending unchanged and resulting in an exchange of 182,913,713 shares valued at $1,549,169,032 versus 10,927,858 units at $93,761,610 on Thursday, with Kingston Properties chipping in with 136 million shares carrying a value of $1.05 billion.
The All Jamaican Composite Index popped 8,864.59 points to settle at 403,080.36, to add 18,791 points in just two days but ended the year down 8 percent, the JSE Main Index popped 4,672.83 points to 355,896.64, with gains of 10,764 point over the past two days and a 10.2 percent fall for the year, while  the JSE Financial Index rallied 0.92 points to settle at 85.88 and is down 12.4 percent for the year.

Jamaica Broilers advanced 46 cents to  $29.50 while exchanging 74,794 stock units, Mayberry Investments rose 75 cents to $8 with an exchange of 22,100 shares, Palace Amusement dropped $65.99 in closing at $1179 after exchanging 113 units. Proven Investments shed $2.30 in ending at $26.10 21,006 stock units passed through the market, Sagicor Group advanced 89 cents to end at $48.49 after trading 48,096 stocks, Seprod dipped 44 cents in ending at $68.06 with a transfer of 1,008 shares and Supreme Ventures increased $1.20 to close at $30.49 with 117,285 stock units clearing the market.
In the preference segment, Eppley 5% preference share popped $1.45 to $22.48, with 2,213 shares crossing the market.

Trading jumped sharply on Wednesday on the Jamaica Stock Exchange Main Market with a surge of 666 percent in the volume of stocks changing hands over Tuesday with a 700 percent jump in funds entering the market than the previous day, after 59 securities were exchanged compared to 57 on Tuesday and ending with prices of 25 rising, 19 declining and 15 ending unchanged.
A total of 68,370,391 shares were traded for $766,972,599 up from 8,931,395 units at $95,827,826 on Tuesday.
Trading averaged 1,158,820 units at $12,999,366, up from 156,691 shares at $1,681,190 on Tuesday and month to date, an average of 520,032 units at $3,105,033 compared to 471,898 units at $2,359,483 on the previous day. Trading in November closed with an average of 202,406 units at $1,736,493.
Radio Jamaica led trading with 40.25 million shares for 58.9 percent of total volume followed by Wigton Windfarm with 13.37 million units for 19.6 percent of the day’s trade, GraceKennedy traded 4.58 million units for 6.7 percent of the market trade, Jamaica Broilers settled at 4.46 million units for 6.5 percent of shares traded, Barita Investments chipped in with 1.50 million units for 2.2 percent market share and Sagicor Select Financial Fund had 1.46 million units for 2.1 percent of trading.
The All Jamaican Composite Index gained 2,594.86 points to 382,179.92, the JSE Main Index rose 86.10 points to 340,467.96 and the JSE Financial Index slipped 0.10 points to settle at 81.32.

Jamaica Broilers rose 99 cents to end at $29.99 in exchanging 4,458,470 stock units, Jamaica Stock Exchange dipped 70 cents in closing at $15.10 as 4,480 stocks passed through the market, Mayberry Investments rallied $1.45 to close at $8.45 in an exchange of 31,281 stock units. NCB Financial shed 98 cents to a 52 weeks’ low of $78.02 as investors exchanged 96,216 shares, Palace Amusement dropped $190 to end at $1200 after an exchange of 887 units, Proven Investments declined $1.48 to close at $27 with investors transferring 15,830 stocks. Seprod fell $1.25 in closing at $68.50, with 10,735 stock units crossing the market and Sygnus Credit Investments dipped 46 cents in ending at $12.04 after a transfer of 5,281 shares.
In the preference segment, Eppley 7.25% preference share shed $2.83 in ending at $17.17 after an exchange of  799 stocks, Productive Business Solutions 9.75% preference share gained $5 in closing at $107 after trading just six stocks and Transjamaican Highway 8% fell 45 cents to $1.75 with an exchange of 67,330 units.
