Leading with volume are Lasco Manufacturing that traded 4,046,000 units at $5, Medical Disposables with 157,858 units at $3.50. Barita Investments traded 213,650 down to $2.50, Grace Kennedy had 303,578 shares trading at $41.68, Sterling Investments traded 395,000 units at $13 and JMMB Group 7.50% preference share traded 2,842,800 units at $1.10.
The market indices all fell in the main but inched up for junior markets, with 14 stocks gaining versus 11 that fell.
The all Jamaica Composite Index fell 690.47 points to 176,934.79 the Jamaica Stock Exchange Market Index dropped 617.40 points to 159,252.93 the Jamaica Stock Exchange combined index lost 538.03 points to close at 170,503.66 points and the junior market index rose 3.37 points to 2,220.72.
At 11 am 23 securities traded, resulting in a volume of 8,615,067 shares changing hands. The average number of shares traded amounts to 246,145 units compared to 29,387 units on Wednesday.

The junior market rose on Wednesday with 16 securities changing hands of which 7 stocks rose while 6 declined, the market index rose 21.20 points to close at 2,217.35, with only 496,276 units traded, valued at $3,940,720. The highlight of trading is a 25 percent jump in the price of Cargo Handlers to a new high and a climb of 27 percent in the price tTech.
At the end of trading 4 stocks closed with bids higher than their last selling prices and none ended with a lower offer. The junior market is showing that the lowest prices for stocks being offered, are moving away from the last traded prices for a number of the companies, with a few having no stocks being offered currently.
At the close, Access Financial lost $1.25 in trading 113,000 units at $16.25, Cargo Handlers jumped $14 and ended with 500 shares changing hands at an all-time high of $70, Caribbean Cream gained 5 cents with 4,500 shares changing hands at $7.30, Caribbean Flavours traded just 10,200 units to close with a gain of 20 cents at $6.30. Caribbean Producers lost 18 cents in trading 6,000 units at $3.30, Consolidated Bakeries traded 19,700 units to end at $2.55, there were just one offer posted at the close, to sell 5,000 units at $2.60. Honey Bun had 105,259 shares changing hands at 5 cents lower to close at $5.45, Jamaican Teas traded 3,338 units and rose by 35 cents, to end at $3.50, Jetcon Corporation rose 4 cents, to end with 12,000 shares changing hands at $2.69. Key Insurance traded 9,713 units to close at $2.50 after shedding 10 cents, Knutsford Express closed with 6,865 units changing hands to end at $19, Lasco Distributors ended with 59,700 shares changing hands with a rise of 20 cents at $7. Lasco Manufacturing closed at $4.95 with 59,386 shares trading, but fell by 5 cents and tTech ended with 83,354 units changing hands at $4.75 after rising $1.

Supreme Ventures was the dominant trade by far on the Jamaica Stock Exchange on Monday with 39,898,309 trading between $4.71 and the closing price of $4.52 after falling 18 cents. Mayberry Investments sold 11,990,487 units from their inventory at $4.71 to Scotia Investments for a mix of buying for in-house inventory and for clients. In the afternoon session Mayberry crossed 27,884,209 units and bought them for in-house inventory with 27,821,082 units, trading at $4.52 each.
In the overall market the prices of 10 securities gained out of a total of 37 securities that traded, with 13 declining, including 5 stocks, rising and 1 falling from the junior market.
The market closed with an overall volume of 42,773,267 units valued at $ 226,239,889 changing hands, in all market segments. The junior market accounted for 257,522 units traded, valued at $1,655,683 of all trades.

SVL trades 12m shares on JSE – Monday
Trading on the Jamaica Stock Exchange on Monday morning resulted in an unusually high level of 34 securities trading. Supreme Ventures (SVL) traded 12,014,100 shares unchanged at $4.70 to be by far the dominant trade. The closest to that is Cable & Wireless with 134,255 units at $1.26.
The bulk of the SVL trade was done between Mayberry Investments, who sold from in house inventory and Scotia Investments, the buying broker, who bought for a combination of clients and inhouse purposes.
The market indices all rose moderately, in the main and junior markets, with 9 stocks gaining versus 9 that fell.
The all Jamaica Composite Index rose 147.69 points to 177,882.62, the Jamaica Stock Exchange Market Index climbed 132.06 points to 160,100.46 the Jamaica Stock Exchange combined index gained 144.22 points to close at 171,008.57 points and the junior market index gained 2.11 points to 2,193.31.
Trading levels at 10:45 am was low, resulting in a volume of 12,389,773 shares changing hands, excluding the SVL trade the total volume would have been only 375,673 units and the average trade would be 11,384 units. The average number of shares traded amounts to 364,405 units compared to 6,256 units on Friday.
Juniors hit with falling prices – Friday
The junior market lost moderately on Friday with 13 active securities of which 3 stocks rose and 6 declined including a drop of $2.82 in the price of Knutsford Express. The market index slipped 5.64 points to close at 2,191.20, with only 260,545 units trading, valued at $1,819,326.

Lasco Distributors ended with 15,784 shares changing hands at $7, Lasco Financial ended with 2,850 shares changing hands at $3.25, for a fall of 10 cents, Lasco Manufacturing closed at $5 with 2,500 shares trading and Eppley 10% preference share, traded 200 units at $6.10.
