The All Jamaican Composite Index shed 760.15 points to 453,615.66, the JSE Main Index gained 32.01 points to end at 422,098.56 and the JSE Financial Index lost 0.22 points to settle at 104.52.
Trading ended with 45 securities compared to 49 on Friday, with 16 stocks rising, 23 declining and six remaining unchanged. The PE Ratio ended with an average of 16.1 based on ICInsider.com’s forecast of 2021-22 earnings.
The market closed with 23,167,260 shares trading for $283,034,981 versus 119,750,700 units at $599,497,233 on Friday. Sterling Investments led trading with 50 percent of total volume after trading 11.58 million shares followed by Sagicor Group 12.2 percent with 2.84 million units, Pulse Investments controlled 11.4 percent, with 2.63 million units, Transjamaican Highway took 6.3 percent of the trade with 1.45 million units and Wigton Windfarm took 5.2 percent for an exchange of 1.20 million units.
Trading averaged 514,828 units on Monday at $6,289,666, compared to 2,443,892 shares at $12,234,637 on Friday. Trading month to date averages 439,937units at $4,698,961, in contrast to 436,367 units at $4,623,132 on Friday. April closed with an average of 234,200 units at $1,772,561.

Kingston Wharves picked up 30 cents in ending at $46.50 with 2,038 units crossing the exchange, Mayberry Investments lost 58 cents to end at $5.27 with 10,297 shares changing hands, NCB Financial lost 20 cents to close at $139.80 after investors switched 100,721 shares, Palace Amusement dropped $50 to $920 with 233 shares clearing the market, PanJam Investment advanced $2.70 to $69.70 in switching ownership of 22,494 units. 
Pulse Investments declined 40 cents to $4.40 in swapping 2,634,338 stocks, Sagicor Group slipped 25 cents to end at $52.50 with 2,835,484 stocks clearing the market, Seprod shed 90 cents to close at $74.10 with 13,279 units changing hands. Sygnus Credit Investments ended 25 cents lower at $15.25 in an exchange of 64,490 shares and Victoria Mutual Investments fell 45 cents to $6.51 after 85,621 stocks crossed the market.
In the preference segment, Eppley 8.75% preference share rose 77 cents to $7.28 after trading 1,330 stocks.

Stocks slide but market rises
Sagicor Select Manufacturing and Distribution Fund dominated the volume traded on Friday, accounting for an 871 percent rise in the number of shares traded, with the value jumping 363 percent higher than on Thursday, on a day when declining stocks beat out rising ones two to one on the Jamaica Stock Exchange Main Market.
The All Jamaican Composite Index rose 1,817.92 points to 454,375.81, the JSE Main Index gained 754.27 points to end at 422,066.55 and the JSE Financial Index gained 0.44 points to settle at 104.74.
At the close, 49 securities traded, compared to 48 on Thursday, with 13 stocks rising, 28 declining and eight ended unchanged. The PE Ratio ended with an average of 16.2 based on ICInsider.com’s forecast of 2021-22 earnings.
The market closed with 119,750,700 shares trading for $599,497,233 versus 12,330,202 units at $129,542,064 on Thursday. Sagicor Select Manufacturing and Distribution Fund accounted for 89.8 percent of total volume, with 107.57 million shares, followed by Sagicor Select Financial Fund with 2.9 percent for 3.49 million units, 
Transjamaican Highway with 2.2 percent for 2.58 million and NCB Financial Group with 1.7 percent for 2.13 million units changing hands.

Market activity ended on Thursday with only the All Jamaican Composite rising after more stocks advanced than declined, with an exchange of 55 percent fewer shares valued 83 percent lower than on Wednesday at the close of the Jamaica Stock Exchange Main Market.
The All Jamaican Composite Index gained 109.54 points to 452,557.89, the JSE Main Index shed 184.88 points to 421,312.28 and the JSE Financial Index lost 0.05 points to settle at 104.30.
Trading ended with 48 securities, similar to Wednesday, with 23 stocks rising, 17 declining and eight remaining unchanged. The PE Ratio averages 16.3 based on ICInsider.com’s forecast of 2021-22 earnings.
The market closed with 12,330,202 shares trading for $129,542,064 versus 27,181,743 units at $767,234,675 on Wednesday. Guardian dominates JSE trading
Guardian Holdings dominated market activity after trading 713,248 shares, with a value of just over $549 million, after a drop in the price by $19.50 to a new low of $770 on Jamaica Stock Exchange Main Market on Wednesday, with the market losing ground for a second consecutive day after advancing stocks beat out declining ones 3 to 2 with an exchange of 116 percent more shares valued 348 percent higher than on Tuesday.
Guardian Holdings hit a 52 weeks’ high of $30 on Tuesday.

Main Market loses ground to close out week
Demand for stocks declined on Friday in trading on the Jamaica Stock Exchange Main Market, with the volume of stocks trading falling 48 percent and the value of stocks exchanged dropping 82 percent lower than Thursday’s market activity leading to a slight dip in the main market indices with the advancing stocks just edging out those declining.
The All Jamaican Composite Index shed 202.86 points to 454,479.33, the Main Index fell 257.00 points to 424,303.18 and the JSE Financial Index lost 0.04 points to close 105.33.
Trading ended with 48 securities compared to 50 on Thursday, with 19 stocks rising, 18 declining and 11 remaining unchanged. The PE Ratio closed with an average of 16.3 based on ICInsider.com’s forecast of 2021-22 earnings.

Market activity ended on Thursday, with the market recovering almost all of the losses of the previous two days after advancing stocks edged out declining ones, with the overall traded volume and value climbing 211 percent and 357 percent respectively compared to Wednesday on the Jamaica Stock Exchange Main Market.
The All Jamaican Composite Index climbed 3,237.08 points to 454,682.19, the Main Index advanced 2,716.72 points to 424,560.18, and the JSE Financial Index gained 0.97 points to settle at 105.37.
Trading ended with 50 securities compared to 47 on Wednesday, with 18 stocks rising, 16 declining and 16 remaining unchanged. The average PE Ratio, based on ICInsider.com’s 2021-22 forecast of earnings, is 16.1.

JSE Main Market in turbulent zone
Just below 460,000 points is proving to be a turbulent area for the Main Market on Tuesday after coming close during the morning session at 459,212 points the index of locally based Jamaica Stock Exchange Main Market stocks pulled back sharply at the close. In today’s trading, the market moved up to 456,129 points but again failed to hold onto early gains and closed with the market index slipping from Tuesday close.
At the close, the All Jamaican Composite Index declined 2,953.62 points to close tab 451,445.11, the Main Index shed 2,482.03 points to 421,843.46 and the JSE Financial Index lost 0.98 points to settle at 104.40.

Key Insurance shed 32 cents to end at $5.01 after an exchange of 321,258 shares, NCB Financial advanced $2.10 to $141 in trading 22,667 units. 138 Student Living lost 86 cents to close at $4.54, with 12,305 stock units clearing the market, Palace Amusement climbed $41 to $955 after exchanging 123 stock units, Pan Jam Investment jumped $6.90 to $71.90 with the swapping of 1,737 units, Portland JSX fell $2.40 to $7.10 with the transfer of 51,289 shares. Proven Investments lost 80 cents to close at $37.15, with 18,599 stock units crossing the market, Sagicor Group fell $1.50 to $51 with 905,925 shares changing hands. Scotia Group shed 80 cents in ending at $40 in exchanging 41,900 stocks.
Seprod advanced $2.90 to $75.90 with 13,000 units crossing the market, Stanley Motta gained 24 cents in closing at $6.24 with the swapping of 2,707 stock units, Supreme Ventures picked up 20 cents to settle at a 52 weeks’ high of $20 after clearing the market with 82,366 stocks and Sygnus Credit Investments lost 40 cents in closing at $15.10, after trading 175,692 units.
In the preference segment, JMMB Group 7.25% lost 40 cents to close at $2 after trading 300 units and JMMB Group 7.50% fell 8 cents to 77 cents with the swapping of 4,493 stock units.

Guardian knocks JSE Main Index
Market activity ended on Tuesday with the market indices all declining, but the JSE Main Index sustaining the greater loss of 6,266.26 points to close at 424,325.49, with Guardian Holdings dropping $110, with NCB Global announcing on Monday the offer of 2 million shares to the public at $795 each. Trading ended after an exchange of 31 percent fewer shares valued 30 percent less than on Monday on the Jamaica Stock Exchange Main Market.
Guardian Holdings hits the lowest price on the JSE on Tuesday.
The All Jamaican Composite Index declined 371.38 points to 454,398.73, the JSE Main Index dropped 6,266.26 points to 424,325.49 after Guardian Holdings trading at the lowest price since listing and the JSE Financial Index shed 2.89 points to settle at 105.38.
Trading ended with 52 securities slightly down on the 51 on Monday, with 20 rising, 24 declining and eight remaining unchanged. The PE Ratio averages 16.2 based on ICInsider.com’s forecast of 2021-22 earnings.
The market closed with 11,779,992 shares trading for $110,710,765 versus 17,166,156 units at $158,866,078 on Monday. Sagicor Select Manufacturing & Distribution Fund led trading with 25.4 percent of total volume after an exchange of 3 million shares followed by Sagicor Select Financial Fund 14.3 percent, with 1.68 million units, Pulse Investments contributed 12.7 percent, with 1.5 million units, Transjamaican Highway accounts for 10.3 percent after trading 1.21 million units and Wigton Windfarm with 9.1 percent after 1.07 million units changed hands.
Trading averaged 226,538 units at $2,129,053, compared to 336,591 shares at $3,115,021 on Monday. Trading month to date averages 317,134 units at $3,367,698, in contrast to 325,653 units at $3,484,171 on Monday. April averaged 234,200 units at $1,772,561.

Jamaica Broilers advanced $2 in closing at $36, with 251,099 units crossing the exchange. Jamaica Producers fell 48 cents to $24.50 in transferring 123,613 stock units, JMMB Group shed $1.10 to end at $32 with an exchange of 357,375 shares. Key Insurance lost 27 cents to settle at $5.33 in clearing the market of 366,006 stocks, Kingston Wharves rose $2 to $47 in switching ownership of 1,856 shares, Margaritaville closed 50 cents lower at $15 after clearing the market with 1,500 stock units. NCB Financial Group gained 70 cents to end at $138.90 in an exchange of 113,242 shares, 138 Student Living finished 89 cents higher at $5.40 after crossing the market with 4,300 stock units, Palace Amusement declined $26 to end at $914 with 2 units crossing the exchange. PanJam Investment fell $4 in closing at $65 with an exchange of 40,380 stock units, Proven Investments gained 90 cents to end at $37.95 in trading 14,404 shares, Sagicor Group shed $1.45 to end at $52.50 with the swapping of 13,121 units, Sagicor Real Estate Fund rose 74 cents to $8.29 with the transfer of 1,548 shares. 
Salada Foods gained 44 cents to finish at $7.50 in exchanging 67,172 units, Scotia Group slipped 50 cents to close at $40.80 with an exchange of 456,287 stocks, Seprod declined $4.57 to $73 after 3,586 units changed hands. Sterling Investments lost 25 cents to settle at $3.25 in transferring 15,408 shares and Victoria Mutual Investments fell 28 cents to $6.71 with 72,106 stocks changing hands.

JSE Main Market in resistance territory
Market activity pushed the All Jamaican Composite Index up 4,686 points in the early morning session to just over 456,400 points and close to resistance level on Monday and the market managed to hold on 3,056.45 points at the close to end at 454,770.11, on the Main Market of Jamaica Stock Exchange, at the same time, the Main Index rose 2,576.48 points to 430,591.75, and the JSE Financial Index gained 1.14 points to settle at 108.27.
At the close, 51 securities traded, up from 49 on Friday, with 20 rising, 23 declining and eight ending unchanged. The PE Ratio averages 16.2 based on ICInsider.com forecast of 2021-22 earnings.
The volume and values of shares traded, fell 46 percent and 48 percent respectively compared to Friday levels, as 17,166,156 shares changed hands for $158,866,078 versus 31,695,926 units at $306,013,533 on Friday. Wigton Windfarm led trading with 40.9 percent of total volume, with 7 million shares followed by JMMB Group 7.5% took 14.1 percent of the market, with 2.43 million units, Transjamaican Highway accounted for 10.5 percent with 1.80 million units and Pan Jam Investment with 7.4 percent after 1.14 million units changed hands.
Trading averaged 336,591 units at $3,115,021, compared to 646,856 shares at $6,245,174 on Friday. Trading month to date averages 325,653 units at $3,484,171, in contrast to 324,542 units at $3,521,674 on Friday. April averaged 234,200 units at $1,772,561.
