Dolla Financial jumps to $3.07

Dolla Financial led trading on the Jamaica Stock Exchange Junior Market on Monday, with 19 million shares for 61 percent of total volume and was the major contributor to the Market Index surging, 111.58 points to 4,314.02. Dolla helped to push the volume of stocks traded by 143 percent more and the value 118 percent more than on Friday as the price jumped 207 percent above the IPO price of $1 to close at $3.07.
All but one of the 46 listed securities traded, up from 41 on Friday, with 23 rising, 14 declining and eight unchanged. JFP Limited was the second highest traded stock, with 3.96 million units for 12.6 percent of the day’s trade and Mailpac Group with 1.0 million units for 3.2 percent of market share.

Trading activity rose sharply on the Jamaica Stock Exchange Junior Market on Friday, with the volume of stocks traded increasing 168 percent and the value climbing 93 percent higher than Thursday, but declining stocks beat out rising stocks by more than two to one.
A total of 42 securities traded similar to Thursday and ended with ten rising, 23 declining and nine closing unchanged.

Trading closed on the Jamaica Stock Exchange Junior Market Tuesday, with the volume of stocks traded surging 318 percent as 292 percent more funds were extracted from the market compared to Friday as investors eye the latest IPO to come to market and pushed five stocks to freeze in trading shortly after trading opened.

Junior Market prices mostly fall Friday

Trading closed on the Jamaica Stock Exchange Junior Market on Friday, with the volume of stocks traded declining 68 percent with a 60 percent lower value than Thursday as 43 securities traded down from 44 on Thursday and ended with ten rising, 22 declining and 11 closing unchanged.
At the close, the Junior Market Index shed 3.71 points to 4,357.81.

April closed with an average of 449,923 units at $1,781,786.
Jetcon Corporation led trading with 1.04 million shares for 17.9 percent of total volume, followed by AMG Packaging with 469,900 units for 8.1 percent of the day’s trade and Lumber Depot with 422,811 units for 7.3 percent market share.

Junior Market falls for a 5th day

Trading activity contracted Wednesday on the Jamaica Stock Exchange Junior Market, with the volume of stocks trading declining 53 percent and the value dropping 41 percent lower than on Tuesday, with 44 securities changing hands against 43 on Tuesday, with 20 rising, 17 declining and seven closing unchanged.
At the close, the Junior Market Index fell 38.57 points to 4,336.16 and is down 228 points after declining for five straight days.
