Rising stocks dominate TTSE market

Trading on the Trinidad and Tobago Stock Exchange ended on Tuesday resulted in fourteen securities, up slightly from twelve on Monday and ended with investors driving six stocks higher, two lower while leaving six unchanged.
The T&T Composite Index advanced by 2.31 points to 1,316.77. The All T&T Index gained 1.20 points to end at 1,777.17, while the Cross Listed Index rose 0.47 points to 115.72.
The market closed, with 346,932 shares at $2,070,714 passing through the market, compared to 117,290 shares for $3,215,698 on Monday.
The average trade on Tuesday was 24,781 units at $147,908 versus an average of 9,774 stock units for $267,975 for each security traded on Monday. For the month to date, the average trade amounts to 17,855 units at $84,154.  July closed with an average of 12,712 shares for $166,390.
IC bid-offer Indicator The Investors Choice bid-offer indicator ended with the bids of four stocks higher than its last selling price and three with lower offers.
Stocks rising Clico Investments climbed sharply higher by $1.85 to $27.85 trading 43,427 shares, JMMB Group gained 5 cents and ended at $2, as investors transferred 270,000 shares, L.J Williams B share picked up 4 cents to settle at $1.44, in an exchange of 6,900 stock units. Massy Holdings closed $1 higher at $58, with 3,534 units changing hands, NCB Financial added 6 cents to end at $7.86, after trading 1,000 units and One Caribbean Media finished at $5.25, after rising 10 cents as 15 units crossed the exchange.
Stocks declining First Caribbean International lost 5 cents trading 458 units to finish at a 52 weeks’ low of $7.05 and First Citizens Bank closed at $47.99 after losing 36 cents and exchanging 15 units.
Stocks trading firmAnsa Merchant Bank was unchanged at $36.30, in transferring 15 units, Ansa McAL closed at $50, with six units traded, a total of 16,370 Point Lisas’ stocks were exchanged at $3.10. Scotiabank remained at $54.90, with 15 units crossing the market, Trinidad and Tobago NGL transferred 5,052 stock units at $17.02 and West Indian Tobacco closed at $35, after exchanging 125 units.
