is in strong demand in early Tuesday morning trading on the Jamaica Stock Exchange, with 571,271 units changing hands at $5, followed by Scotia Group with 163,233 shares at $30.75. No other stock reached the 100,000 unit mark.
The main market suffered a reversal of Monday’s gains while the junior market index gained.
Trading resulted in activity in 21 securities, accounting for a volume of 965,106 units as 8 stocks gained and 6 declined. The average number of shares traded amounts to just units 41,961 compared to an average of 14,733 units on Monday.
After 75 minutes of trading in the early morning session, on Tuesday, the all Jamaica Composite Index dropped 1,559.23 points to 177,151.24, the Jamaica Stock Exchange Market Index dipped 1,394.18 points to 159,446.52, the Jamaica Stock Exchange combined index dived 1,217.73 to close at 171,065.08 points andthe junior market index rose 7.22 points to 2,257.53.

Slow start to the week – Monday
The Jamaica stock market is off to a slow start for the week with low volumes in early Monday morning trading on the Jamaica Stock Exchange.
The leading trades are Radio Jamaica with 50,800 shares at $1.75 and Lasco Financial Services with 78,198 at $3.43 and tTech have 92,965 units changing hands at $4. Iron Rock Insurance has a bid to buy 4,676,395 shares at $3.23 but the stock has not traded so far.
Trading resulted in activity in 21 securities, accounting for a volume of 309,390 units as 6 stocks gained and 4 declined. The average number of shares traded amounts to just 14,733 units compared to an average of 132,153 units on Friday.
After 75 minutes of trading in the early morning session, on Monday, the all Jamaica Composite Index rose 306.23 points to 177,777.41, the JSE Market Index gained 273.81 points to 160,006.41, the JSE combined index climbed 263.72 to close at 171,568.14 points andthe junior market index rose a mere 0.96 points to 2,255.99.
Pan Jam at new high in early trades
Pan Jamaican Investment traded at $27.40 for a new high with 2.66 million shares and Jamaica Producers traded at $48 for a new 52 weeks’ high with 31,798 shares, 
in early Friday morning trading on the Jamaica Stock Exchange.
Grace Kennedy traded 21,805 shares, with the price remaining unchanged at $125 with no stock now on offer.
Trading resulted in activity in 23 securities, accounting for a volume of 3,171,661 units as 11 stocks gained and 7 declined. The average number of shares traded amounts to just 132,153 units compared to an average of 63,724 units on Thursday.

Grace drops $6.99 in early trades
Grace Kennedy headed back to $118, with a drop of $6.99 in early trading on the Jamaica Stock Exchange in the Tuesday morning session, while trading 7,052 shares changed hands. Cable & Wireless traded 103,278 shares at $1.29, Jamaica Money Market Brokers 7.50% preference traded 712,998 units at $2.15,
Lasco Distributors trade 200,337 shares at $8 and Lasco Manufacturing traded 606,845 units at $5.
Trading resulted in activity in 24 securities, accounting for a volume of 1,820,517 units as 6 stocks gained and 8 declined. The average number of shares traded amounts to just 75,855 units compared to an average of 30,397 units on Monday. Trading in Honey Bun was halted after the stock traded at $6.40, exceeding the 15 percent permitted before the circuit chips in.

Producers hit new high of $46 – Monday
Trading in the early Monday morning session on the Jamaica Stock Exchange has been moderate, but with Lasco Manufacturing trading 158,997 units at $5.05 
and Supreme Ventures trading 251,500 units at $4.75 to be the only two stocks trading over 100,000 units.
Lasco Distributors had 66,354 shares trading at $7.97 while Jamaica Producers traded 14,341 shares to hit a 52 weeks’ high of $46 as well as ISP Finance in trading at $3.50.
Trading resulted in activity in 26 securities, accounting for a volume of 790,330 units as 11 stocks gained and 8 declined. The average number of shares traded, amounts to just 30,397 units.
After 75 minutes of trading in the early morning session, on Monday, the all Jamaica Composite Index jumped 1,349.38 points to 178,863.59, the JSE Market Index jumped 1,206.55 points to 160,977.62, the JSE combined index climbed 1,119.15 to close at 172,249.14 points and the junior market index inched up 0.09 points to 2,234.74.
Grace & JPG hit new highs – Thursday
Trading in the early Thursday morning session on the Jamaica Stock Exchange continues the moderate trend of recent day with volumes remaining below the 100,000 unit level except for Lasco Manufacturing with 672,739 units as the price rose 25 cents to $5 
and with the main market recording a decline overall and juniors having a minor loss.
Grace Kennedy traded 35,714 shares for a new high of $121 and Jamaica Producers traded 55,300 to hit a 52 weeks’ high of $44.10.
Trading resulted in activity in 31 securities, accounting for a volume of 1,075,717 units as 12 stocks gained and 9 declined. The average number of shares traded amounts to just 33,616 units compared to an average of 11,015 units on Tuesday
After 75 minutes of trading in the early morning session, on Thursday, the all Jamaica Composite Index dropped 259.92 points to 177,238.90, the JSE Market Index lost 232.41 points to 159,524.91, the JSE combined index dipped 39.32 to close at 170,733.18 points andthe junior market index inched up 5.15 points to 2,218.30.
Moderate trading as JSE drops – Wednesday
Trading in the early Wednesday morning session on the Jamaica Stock Exchange was moderate in a lackluster market but Honey Bun traded at a new high of $7.50 with a 50 cents gain.
Trading resulted in activity in 23 securities, accounting for a volume of a mere 253,341 units as 8 stocks gained and 5 declined. The average number of shares traded amounts to just 11,015 units compared to an average of 714,361 units on Tuesday
After 75 minutes of trading in the early morning session, on Wednesday, the all Jamaica Composite Index dropped 948.35 points to 176,636.15, the JSE Market Index lost 847.97 points to 158,986.96, the JSE combined index dipped 715.15 to close at 170,111.47 points and the junior market index inched up 6.90 points to 2,206.44.
Majors drop juniors rise
Honey Bun traded at a new high of $7 in the early Tuesday morning session on the Jamaica Stock Exchange with 234,037 units changing hands while 1834 Investments traded and Radio Jamaica traded over 6.4 million units and Lasco Manufacturing had 5 million units changing hands. 
The other stocks trading over 100,000 units in the main market include Cable & Wireless with 100,000units at $1.45, Carreras 101,167 shares at $64.70, Consolidated Bakeries 526,000 at $2, Jamaica Broilers 260,811 at $14 and Lasco Financial Services 828,325 shares down to $3.20.
Trading resulted in activity in 29 securities, accounting for a volume of 20,716,456 units as 11 stocks gained and 13 declined. The average number of shares traded amounts to 714,361 units compared to an average of 34,611 units on Monday. After 2 hours of trading in the early morning session, on Tuesday, the all Jamaica Composite Index dropped 1,136.39 points to 177,864.96, the JSE Market Index lost 1,016.11 points to 160,084.71, the JSE combined index dipped 633.32 points, to 171,320.16 and the junior market index jumped 30.02 points to 2,224.91.
