Market activity on the Trinidad & Tobago Stock Exchange increased on Thursday with trading in 18 securities against 13 on Wednesday as stocks gaining outnumbered those falling 3 to 1.
Trading ended with 9 advancing, 3 declining and 6 remaining unchanged as NCB Financial closed trading at an all time high.
The Composite Index gained 7.67 points to close at 1,394.37. The All T&T Index rose 2.08 points to 1,800.55, while the Cross Listed Index moved 1.83 points higher to close at 133.62.
Trading ended with 589,237 shares valued $3,306,026 changing hands, compared to 122,312 shares valued $1,414,884 on Wednesday.

Stocks closing with gains| Ansa McAL traded 6,855 shares and rose 16 cents to $55.18, Clico Investments rose 5 cents and settled at $24.15, with 1,202 stock units trading, First Caribbean International Bank gained 2 cents in trading just 20 shares to close at $8.32, Grace Kennedy rose 1 cent in trading 191,823 shares to close at $3.24. JMMB Group rose 1 cent and ended at $2.10, with 264,723 changing hands, Massy Holdings gained 3 cents to close at $55.08 while trading 3,571 units, NCB Financial finished trading with a gain of 27 cents and settled at record $9.77, after exchanging 380 shares. Republic Financial Holdings jumped 75 cents trading of 146 units at $121.75 and West Indian Tobacco added 2 cents and ended at $110.27, with 655 units crossing the exchange.
Stocks closing with losses| One Caribbean Media traded 5,000 shares and lost 3 cents in closing at $10.07, Prestige Holdings dropped 48 cents trading 2,134 shares to close at $9 and Trinidad & Tobago NGL slipped 7 cents and ended at $28.24 trading 3,010 units.
