At the close of the market, the Composite Index advanced by 1.16 points to close at 1,151.48, the All T&T Index rose by 2.65 points to 1,966.58 and the Cross Listed Index fell 0.05 points to end at 44.10.
Gains| Stocks increasing in price at the close are, ANSA McAL contributed 24,456 shares with a value of $1,638,801 to close at $67.02 up by 11 cents, First Citizens Bank traded 2,862 shares to close with a gain of 3 cents to $35.60, Massy Holdings traded 350 shares, gained 1 cents to end at $63.11. Scotiabank traded 1,450 shares to close with a gain of 15 cents at $62.30, Trinidad Cement added 23,621 shares to close with a gain of 5 cents at $2.55 and West Indian Tobacco traded 220 shares and gained 89 cents to end at $126 for a new 52 weeks high.
Declines| The stocks declining at the end of trading are, Grace Kennedy with a volume of 24,550 shares trading ended with a 5 cents loss at $3.55. Praetorian Property Mutual Fund suffered the day’s greatest loss, falling 38 cents to close at $3.10 while trading 8,000 shares and Republic Bank traded 2,502 shares with a value of $289,531 to close down 8 cents at $115.72, at new 52 weeks’ low.
Firm Trades| Stocks closing with prices unchanged at the end of trading are, Guardian Holdings with 8,000 shares trading, closed at $14.05, National Flour Mills traded at $1.50 with 336,910 shares changing hands, for a value of $505,365. National Enterprises with 785 shares trading, closed at $17.30 and Prestige Holdings traded 21,943 shares with a value of $219,430 at $10.
