At the close of the market, the Composite Index rose 1.82 points to close at 1,157.09, the All T&T Index lost 2.67 points to close at 1,978.31 and the Cross Listed Index increased by 0.85 points to end at 44.03.
Gains| Stocks increasing in price at the close are, Clico Investment Fund trading 162,725 shares, valued at $3,662,705 to advance 1 cent to $22.51, First Citizens Bank trading 1,115 shares at $35.28 to gain 1 cent. National Commercial Bank with 60,000 shares trading for $92,500 lost 14 cents, to end at a new 52 weeks’ high of $1.55 and Scotiabank traded 661 shares in closing up 1 cent at $62.01.
Declines| The stocks declining at the end of trading are, Angostura Holdings trading 8,640 shares, losing 25 cents to end at $14.25. Grace Kennedy contributing 24,000 shares with a value of $84,960 ended at $3.54, with the loss of 1 cent while Jamaica Money Market Brokers, ended at 40 cents after losing 3 cents, with only 5,000 shares changing hands. Massy Holdings traded 8,382 shares valued and lost 37 cents to close at $63, a new 52 weeks’ low and Republic Bank added 21,855 shares valued at $2,578,890 while losing 21 cents to end at $118.
Firm Trades| Stocks closing with prices unchanged at the end of trading are, ANSA Mcal trading 414 shares at $66.90, Guardian Holdings with 19,000 shares trading at $15.50, One Caribbean Media contributing 50 shares at $22.30. Prestige Holdings trading 16,500 units valued at $165,000, to close at $10 and Trinidad Cement with 118,660 shares changing hands for a value of $310,560 to close at $2.65.
