Weak sentiments for Trinidad stocks

Investors’ sentiment in the Trinidad & Tobago Stock Exchange remains weak, with just 2 stocks advancing, 6 falling and 7 remaining unchanged, at the close of trading on Tuesday. The Investor’s Choice bid-offer Indicator confirms the weakness, with just 1 stock with a bid that is higher than the last selling price and 8 with lower offers, at the end of trading.
Market activity resulted in 15 securities changing hands compared to 12 on Monday, leading the Composite Index  to decline by 0.50 points to 1,206.29, the All T&T Index falling by  1.12 points to 1,789.19 and the Cross Listed Index rising 0.02 points to 83.52, as the shares of Jamaican, Scotia Investments gained 2 cents and ended at $2.07, trading 10,000 shares, to be one of two stocks rising. Trinidadian, Angostura Holdings was the other stock to rise, with an increase of 1 cent and 5,000 shares trading at $15.01.
A total of 218,112 shares changed hands at a value of $3,234,221 compared to Monday, with 103,284 units valued at $1,450,577.
Losses|Clico Investment lost 1 cent to close at 22.49, with an exchange of 50,697 units valued at $1,140,668, First Citizens closed at $31.64, losing 1 cent with 20,000 shares trading, valued at $682,800, Massy Holdings traded 48 cents lower to close at a 52 weeks’ low of $49.50 in exchanging 4,007 units. Enterprises was down 1 cent, closing at $10.49, with 8,000 shares changing hands, Sagicor Financial closed at $8, with a loss of 1 cent trading 85,520 shares valued at $684,246 and Trinidad Cement lost 1 cent to close at $4.14, with an exchange of 11,358 shares.
Firm Trades|Ansa McAL exchanged 500 units at $66, Grace Kennedytraded 6,000 units at $2.71. Guardian Holdings held firm at $16.09, with 9,960 shares changing hands, Republic Financial Holdings closed at $101.90, with 316 shares changing hands, Scotiabank traded 1,034 units at $58.03. Trinidad & Tobago NGL remained at $21.90 exchanging 1,720 units while Praetorian Property closed at $3.02, with 4,000 shares changing owners.
