Price changes at the close of trading on the Trinidad & Tobago Stock Exchange were small leading to modest movement in the market indices on Wednesday.
At the close, the Composite Index inched 0.77 points higher to 1,404.78, the All T&T Index shed 0.01 points to 1,747.22, while the Cross Listed Index added 0.21 points to close at 144.03 as 270,524 shares traded amounting to $12,714,020, compared to 459,866 shares at $6,026,691 on Tuesday.
Trading ended with 14 securities trading against 16 on Tuesday, with 2 advancing, 5 declining and 7 remaining unchanged.
IC bid-offer Indicator|The Investor’s Choice bid-offer indicator ended with 3 stocks closing with bids higher than the last selling prices and none with lower offers.
Gains| JMMB Group gained 5 cents and settled at $2.15, after exchanging 6,525 shares and Sagicor Financial rose 1 cent and ended at $10.21, with 5,659 stock units changing hands.
Losses| Clico Investment Fund fell 10 cents and completed trading at $24, with 2,968 units, First Citizens Bank closed with a loss of 5 cents at $40.10, swapping of 3,430 shares, Massy Holdings ended with a loss of 1 cent at $54.50, with 222,065 stock units trading. National Enterprises shed 14 cents and settled at $5.76, with 2,848 units crossing the exchange and West Indian Tobacco dipped 58 cents and completed trading of 42 units at $104.32.
Firm Trades| Ansa Merchant Bank ended at $35.75, swapping of 90 shares, Guardian Holdings settled at $18.16, with 785 units changing hands, National Flour concluded at $1.57, with 1,413 units, NCB Financial ended at $10.55, with 9,829 units crossing the exchange. Point Lisas concluded at $3.60, swapping of 9,155 shares, Republic Financial completed trading at $121.85, after exchanging 65 shares and Trinidad & Tobago NGL exchanging 5,650 units to close at $25.50.
