Trading rose on TTSE – Thursday

The Trinidad & Tobago Stock Exchange closed on Thursday with all market indices after advancing as trading increased over Tuesday’s level after being closed on Wednesday.
At close of the market, the Composite Index gained 4.02 points to close at 1,362.59. The All T&T Index gained 2.65 points to 1,801.29, while the Cross Listed Index inched 0.74 points to close at 124.71.
The market closed with 19 securities trading similar to Tuesday, leading to 5 advancing, 7 declining and 7 remaining unchanged as 631,897 shares valued $10,682,746 changed hands, compared to 361,346 shares valued $3,021,802 16 securities trading on Tuesday.
IC bid-offer Indicator|The Investor’s Choice bid-offer ended with 2 stocks with higher bids than their last selling prices and 3 with lower offers.
Stocks ending with gains| Angostura Holdings ended trading with a rise of 4 cents to $16.04, with 50 stock units changing hands, National Enterprises rose 5 cents and settled at $6.70 after exchanging 4,250 shares. Sagicor Financial rose 21 cents and completed trading of 267,439 units at $10.35, Trinidad & Tobago NGL climbed 50 cents and closed at $29, while trading 69,886 shares and West Indian Tobacco advanced 25 cents to settle at $110.25, after exchanging 746 shares.
Stocks closing with losses| First Caribbean International Bank lost 5 cents in settling at $8.30, after exchanging 275 shares, Massy Holdings closed with a loss of 19 cents at $54.75, with 1,003 stock units changing hands, National Flour lost 2 cents to close at $1.70, after exchanging 2,299 shares. One Caribbean Media lost 10 and ended at $10.20, trading 24,134 units, Republic Financial Holdings shed 3 cents and ended at $121.12, with 3,153 stock units trading, Scotiabank closed with a loss of 39 cents at $62.50, after exchanging 3,122 shares and Unilever Caribbean lost 30 cents to complete trading of 1,316 units at $25.
Stocks closing firm| Calypso Macro Index Fund closed at $15.30, with 200 stock units changing hands, Clico Investments ended at $24, after trading 36,000 units, First Citizens Bank traded at $39 in exchanging 2,555 shares, JMMB Group closed at $2, with 3,340 stock units changing hands. Guardian Holdings settled at $18.50, after exchanging 201,141 shares, Prestige Holdings ended at $9.70, after exchanging 100 shares and Trinidad Cement closed at $2.55 with 10,888 stock units changing hands.
