JSE majors rise on Tuesday
The JSE Market Index rose 158.02 points to end at 158,957.74, the all Jamaica Composite Index gained 176.73 points to close at 176,604.67 and the JSE combined index added 402.50 points, to end at 169,825.87.
The market closed another day of moderate trading, with 10,582,014 units valued at $306,568,341 changing hands, in all market segments, thanks partially to 6.76 million units trade in Jamaica Broilers Group. The junior market accounted for 1,483,101 units traded valued at $7,313,357 of all trades.

At the end of market activities, Berger Paints traded 15,196 shares and gained 15 cents to end at $4.55, Cable & Wireless traded 162,613 shares to close at $1.17, Caribbean Cement fell 45 cents in trading 61,670 shares to close at $22.55, Carreras rose $2.49 in exchanging 64,676 shares at $64.99. Trading in 1834 Investments, resulted in 46,006 shares changing hands to close with a gain of 10 cents at $1.30. Grace Kennedy closed at $122.50 after falling by 50 cents, with 17,598 units changing hands. National Commercial Bank ended with 43,398 units changing hands to close at $42, Pan Jamaican traded 22,126 shares and gained 50 cents to end at $24.50, Portland JSX traded 40,019 shares and lost 1 cent to close at $12.89. Radio Jamaica lost 2 cents to close at $1.37 after 266,334 shares changed hands, Sagicor Group ended with 20,898 shares changing hands and declined 95 cents to $22.04, Sagicor Real Estate Fund traded 38,447 shares to close at $10.50, Scotia Group rose by 30 cents in trading 124,880 shares to end at $30.50. Scotia Investments had 6,800 units changing hands at $26.10 for a fall of $1.39, Supreme Ventures gained 20 cents in trading 48,268 shares to end at $4.80, Proven Investments traded 60,990 units to close at 16.99 US cents for a rise of 0.99 US cents. JMMB Group traded 5,000 shares while losing 3 cents to close at US$1.05, JMMB Group 7.5% preference share traded 425,253 units at $1.05 and Jamaica Money Market Brokers 7.50% preference share traded 680,580 units at $2.09 after slipping 1 cent.

The JSE Market Index dipped 169.00 points to end at 158,799.72, the all Jamaica Composite Index lost 189.00 points to close at 176,427.94 and the JSE combined index fell 499.74 points, to end at 169,423.37.
The market closed another day of moderate trading, with 5,515,764 units valued at $120,438,402 changing hands, in all market segments, thanks to a 2.5 million trade in Proven Investments stock. The junior market accounted for 846,304 units traded valued at $4,791,506, of all trades.

The Jamaica Stock Exchange recorded gains at the close on Friday, as winners beat out losers with a total of 36 securities traded, of which 14 stocks gained, 13 declined, including 6 stocks rising and 6 declining from the junior market, as the market continues to consolidate.
The JSE Market Index gained 49.32 points to end at 158,968.72, the all Jamaica Composite Index climbed 55.15 points to close at 176,616.94 and the JSE combined index rose 42.07 points, to end at 169,923.11.

The Jamaica Stock Exchange indices declined at the close on Monday, although up to 12:20 Pm the major indices were up but at the close more stocks rose than declined. The JSE Market Index slipped 847.88 points to end at 158,922.21, the all Jamaica Composite Index fell 948.22 points to close at 176,564.93 and the JSE combined index fell 840.82 points, to end at 169,492.16.
