More bounce for the Jamaica Stock Exchange

Stocks bounced again at the close of trading on Monday on the Main and Junior and Main Market of the Jamaica Stock Exchange, accompanied by low volume, but slipped on the JSE USD Market resulting in the JSE Combined Index bouncing 4,415.18 points to close at 404,081.36.
The All Jamaican Composite Index jumped 4,305.03 points to 448,121.25, the JSE Main Index added 4,466.69 points to close at 392,283.38, the Junior Market of the Jamaica Stock Exchange gained 26.29 points to close at 4,146.34 and the JSE USD market index slipped 1.72 points to 208.05.
Investors exchanged 14,390,470 shares in all markets, with the value of stocks traded in the Main and Junior Markets amounting to a mere $79.2 million and in the JSE USD market, US$49,782.
The market’s PE ratio ended at 24.3 based on 2021-22 earnings and 13.1 times those for 2022-23 at the close of the Jamaica Stock Exchange.

JSE stocks bouncing off early week fall

Investors exchanged 18,363,886 shares in all markets, with the value of stocks traded in the Main and Junior Markets amounting to a mere $98.2 million and in the JSE USD market, US$727.

The All Jamaican Composite Index dipped 2,525.46 points to 439,724.72, the JSE Main Index added 956.58 points to close at 386,290.42, the Junior Market dropped 103.33 points to 4,026.41 and the JSE USD market index slipped 0.03 points to 210.29.
Investors exchanged 25,281,385 shares in all markets, with the value of stocks traded in the Main and Junior Markets amounting to $159.3 million and in the JSE USD market, US$99,060.

Across the board sell off to fund Dolla IPO

Following the closure of the Jamaica Stock Exchange for Monday’s public holiday, investors came out in force on Tuesday, slashing stock prices across the board, following the release of the attractively priced Dolla Financial IPO slated for listing on the Junior Market of the Jamaica Stock Exchange. The All Jamaican Composite Index dived 7,520.59 points to 442,250.18, the JSE Main Index shed 6,564.71 points to close at 385,333.83, the Junior Market dropped just 5.52 percent with a dive of 228.07 points to 4,129.74 and the JSE USD market index rose 0.35 points to 210.32.
Investors exchanged 28,306,948 shares in all markets, with the value of stocks traded in the Main and Junior Markets amounting to a mere $187.7 million and in the JSE USD market, US$48,070.

Mild rebound for JSE markets

The across the board decline the Jamaica Stock Exchange suffered over the past few days mostly came to a halt on Thursday with mild increases in the Main and Junior Market indices but the JSE USD based stocks had a sizable fall. The Jamaica Stock Exchange continues to fall following the release of first quarter results and closed trading on Wednesday. The JSE Combined Index dropped 4,941.31 points to 405,097.60, with all three markets closed for the day, with investors continuing to pull in their horns until late June or early July.
