More TTSE stocks rise on Monday

Stocks on the Trinidad and Tobago Stock Exchange put in a good showing with the market indices rising after more stocks gained than fell on Monday.

At the close of trading, the T&T Composite Index gained 3.62 points to close at 1,274.57. The All T&T Index advanced 6.58 points to 1,711.54, while the Cross Listed Index rose 0.08 points to 113.24.
The market closed with seventeen securities trading with six stocks rising, four declining and seven finishing with unchanged prices. The volume of stocks passing through the market amounted to 478,696 shares valued at $3,954,213 compared to 395,917 shares for $11,097,128 on Friday.
IC bid-offer Indicator The Investor’s Choice bid-offer indicator ended with the bids of three stocks higher than their last selling prices and four with lower offers.
Gainers│ Angostura Holdings rose 4 cents trading 10,810 stock units and closed $14, Guardian Holdings gained 40 cents to finish at $18.40, with 270 units changing hands, National Flour closed at $1.51, after rising 13 cents and transferring 60,957 shares. Prestige Holdings exchanged 500 units at $8.12, and gains of 6 cents, Republic Financial Holdings picked up 5 cents swapping 400 units to settle at $132.55 and West Indian Tobacco closed 30 cents higher at $31.40 after exchanging 450 units.
Losers│ Clico Investments closed at $25, with a loss of 65 cents after transferring 28,047 stock units, One Caribbean Media lost 3 cents to end at a 52 weeks’ low of $5.50 swapping 5,965 units. Trinidad and Tobago NGL traded 8,896 stock units at $16, after shedding 49 cents and Unilever Caribbean lost 1 cent to finish at $16.99, with an exchange of 56,231 shares.
Firm Trades│ First Citizens Bank traded 1,621 units at $44, First Caribbean International closed at $7.50 exchanging 39,900 shares, JMMB Group was unchanged at $1.95, with 161,526 shares crossing the market. Massy Holdings swapped 12,459 stock units at $55, NCB Financial ended at $7.50 trading 60,957 shares, Scotiabank transferred 664 units at $54.99 and Trinidad Cement held firm at $1.90, with 50,000 stock units changing hands.
