Junior Market falls for 3rd day

Lasco Distributors traded nearly 2 million shares after the company released profit up 237% for the December quarter on flat revenues.

The Junior Market index fell for the third time in 11 days at the close of trading on Wednesday. The Index dropped 41.38 points to close at 2,885.46 with 21 securities changing hands versus 22 on Wednesday.
At the close of market activities, the prices of 8 securities advanced, 9 declined and 4 remained unchanged. Trading resulted in an exchange of 3,844,782 units valued at $15,082,949 compared to 4,135,642 units valued at $14,508,179 on Wednesday. Volume was swollen by General Accident with just over 1 million units and Lasco Distributors with 1,953,030 shares.
Trading ended with an average of 183,085 units for an average of $718,236 in contrast to 187,984 units, for an average of $659,463 on Wednesday. An average of 183,089 units at an average value of $1,482,772 traded, and previously 183,090 units, at $1,630,068. In contrast, January closed with an average of 122,386 shares, valued at $489,704 for each security traded.

C2W Music ended with a loss of 9 cents at $0.51, with 7,000 shares, Derrimon Trading concluded trading with a loss of 50 cents at $7, with 7,000 shares, Eppley settled 2 cents higher at $12.52, with 1,100 units, FosRich Group traded at $2.70, with 150,482 shares. General Accident finished trading with a loss of 19 cents at $2.80, with 1,008,000 shares, GWest Corporation closed with a loss of 1 cent at $3, with 30,279 stock units, Honey Bun ended 2 cents higher at $5.12, with 16,000 units, Jamaican Teas settled at $4.60, with 3,209 shares. Jetcon Corporation ended trading 40 cents higher at $4.60, with 11,100 stock units, Knutsford Express closed with a loss of 40 cents at $14, with 51,800 shares, Lasco Distributors ended 95 cents higher at $4.95, with 1,953,030 shares, Lasco Financial concluded trading with a loss of 10 cents at $5.10, with 325,131 stock units. Lasco Manufacturing finished 15 cents higher at $4.45, with 129,629 units, Main Event settled 77 cents higher at $6.47, with 35,344 shares, Medical Disposables ended trading at $5, with 6,000 shares and Paramount Trading ended with a loss of 24 cents at $3.15, with 81,385 shares changing hands.
