Trading on the Trinidad and Tobago Stock Exchange closed on Friday with 12 active securities changing hands, 5 of which gained, 4 declined while 3 remained unchanged, as 535,990 shares valued at $5,974,739 changed hands. At the close 1 stock ended at 52 weeks’ high and 1 at a 52 weeks’ low.
The Composite Index fell 2.71 points to close at 1,107.25, the All T&T Index fell 4.86 points to close at 1,752.45 and the Cross Listed Index slipped by 0.07 points to close at 61.46.
IC bid-offer Indicator| The Investor’s Choice bid-offer indicator ended with 5 stocks with bids higher than their last selling prices and 5 with offers that were lower.
Gains| ANSA McAL traded 600 units and gained 2 cents, to close at $6.47, First Citizens Bank closed with a rise of 1 cent, as 700 shares changed hands at $30.01, Grace Kennedy rose by 5 cents and closed at a 52 weeks’ high of $5.40 with 200 shares changing hands. National Flour Mills rose by 8 cents, trading 1,050 shares at $2.30 and Trinidad and Tobago NGL gained 49 cents, to close at $22 with 55,534 units valued at $1,219,368 changing hands.
Losses| Republic Financial Holdings lost 39 cents, with 100 units changing hands, to end at a 52 week’s Low of $107.50, Sagicor Financial Corporation traded 135,902 shares and fell 14 cents, to close at $7, Scotiabank dropped $1.37 in trading 60,610 shares with a value of $3,112,683, to end at a 52 week’s Low of $51.36 and West Indian Tobacco traded 3,544 units with a loss of 2 cents, to close at $126.28.
Firm Trades| Clico Investments ended with 175 shares changing hands at $22.65, JMMB Group traded 277,375 shares to end at 60 cents and Trinidad Cement traded 200 shares and closed at $3.50.
