The market closed with 4 stocks advancing, 2 declining and 14 unchanged as 1,018,095 shares traded at a value of $6,250,438 compared to Monday’s 494,919 shares valued at $3,055,994.
The Composite Index gained 1.84 points to 1,224.11, the All Index advanced 3.91 points to 1,802.67 and the Cross Listed Index lost 0.04 points to close at 86.56. IC bid-offer Indicator| The Investor’s Choice bid-offer ended with 5 stocks with bids higher than last selling prices and 5 with lower offers.
Gains| Ansa McAL jumped $1.11 to close at a 52 weeks’ high of $67.50 while exchanging only 17 shares, Clico Investment traded at $22.51, with a 1 cent gain and a mere 131 shares changing hands, Grace Kennedy added 1 cent, closing at $2.80, with an exchange of 550,572 shares valued at $1,530,762 and Sagicor Financial closed at $9.02, gaining 1 cent with trades of 373,000 units valued at $3,360,307.
Losses| National Enterprises traded 3 cents lower to close at $10.50 exchanging 36,889 shares valued at $387,679 and Prestige Holdings closed at $10.81, losing 19 cents with 535 shares changing hands.
Firm Trades| First Citizens traded 128 shares at $32, First Caribbean International closed at $8 exchanging 245 shares, Guardian Holdings exchanged 7,375 shares at $15.75, JMMB Group remained at $1.28 with trades of 11,941 shares. Massy Holdings closed at $51.48 trading 10,148 shares valued at $522,419, National Flour exchanged 1,790 shares at $2.47, NCB Financial Group closed at $3.99, with 492 shares changing owners and Praetorian Property Mutual Fund closed at $3.03, with an exchange of 6,000 units. Republic Financial Holdings traded 250 shares at $101.85, Scotiabank closed at $58 with trades of 100 shares, Scotia Investments closed at $2.70 with 364 shares changing hands. Trinidad Cement traded 8,677 shares at $4.20, Trinidad & Tobago NGL exchanged 9,432 shares at $22 and West Indian Tobacco traded just 9 shares at $126.49.
