Price movements on the Trinidad and Tobago Stock Exchange on Friday resulted in slippage in the market index with an equal number of rising and falling stocks after four suffered a large price declines.
The T&T Composite Index lost 0.06 points to 1,270.95. The All T&T Index declined by 2.63 points to 1,704.96, while the Cross Listed Index rose 0.35 points to 113.16.
The market closed with fifteen securities trading with six stocks rising, six declining and three closing with prices unchanged. The volume of stocks passing through the market amounted to 395,917 shares valued at $11,097,128 compared to 501,256 shares for $18,906,240 on Thursday.
IC bid-offer Indicator│ The Investor’s Choice bid-offer indicator ended with the bids of two stocks higher than their last selling prices and three with lower offers.
Gainers│ Ansa McAL gained 10 cents exchanging 75,000 shares and settled at $54.50, National Enterprises rose 5 cents to end at $4.20, with 1,300 units changing hands, National Flour gained 8 cents and ended at $1.38, with 5,000 stock units crossing the exchange. NCB Financial traded 30,000 shares at $7.50, after rising 10 cents, Scotiabank picked up 1 cent to finish at $54.99, with 53,910 shares crossing the market and Unilever Caribbean transferred 26,717 stock units at $17, after rising 2 cents.
Losers│ Angostura Holdings lost 4 cents transferring 1,500 units to close at $13.96, Clico Investments closed $1.35 lower to finish at $25.65, with 23,420 stock units changing hands,
First Citizens Bank fell $4 after trading 5,145 units to end at $44. Massy Holdings settled at $55, with a loss of $1 in switching ownership of 28,173 stock units, One Caribbean Media closed at a 52 weeks’ low of $5.53, after losing 46 cents while exchanging 2,135 units and Trinidad and Tobago NGL lost 1 cent transferring 835 units and closed at $16.49.
Firm Trades│ Guardian Holdings remained at $18 after trading 42,782 shares and Trinidad Cement exchanged 100,000 units at $1.90.
