Trading on the Jamaica Stock Exchange US dollar market ended on Thursday, with a 67 percent drop in the volume of stocks changing hands after a 133 percent jump in value than on Wednesday, resulting in trading in nine securities, compared to seven on Wednesday with prices of one rising, three declining and five ending unchanged.
The market closed with an exchange of 186,609 shares for US$46,047 compared to 560,085 units at US$19,785 on Wednesday.
Trading averaged 20,734 units at US$5,116 versus 80,012 shares at US$2,826 on Wednesday, with a month to date average of 45,694 shares at US$3,442 compared with 61,740 units at US$2,366 on the previous day and March that ended with an average of 49,394 stock units for US$3,593.
The US Denominated Equities Index popped 2.61 points to end at 243.44.

At the close, Margaritaville ended at 10 US cents in trading 2,103 stock units, Proven Investments dipped 2 cents and ended at 13.9 US cents after an exchange of 110,431 shares, Sterling Investments popped 0.1 of a cent to finish at 1.7 US cents with investors transferring 2,105 stocks. Sygnus Credit Investments shed 0.7 of one cent in closing at 7.3 US cents, following 51,168 units changing hands and Transjamaican Highway declined 0.02 of a cent to close at 2.18 US cents with a transfer of 2,375 shares.
In the preference segment, JMMB Group US8.5% preference share remained at US$1.19 after an exchange of 14,317 units. JMMB Group 5.75% ended at US$2.12 after 4,002 stocks crossed the market, Productive Business Solutions 9.25% preference share remained at US$12 after a transfer of 10 stock units and Sygnus Credit Investments US 8% remained at US$10.60 with 98 shares clearing the market.

Trading volume drops on JSE USD market

Trading on the Jamaica Stock Exchange US dollar market closed on Tuesday, with the volume of stocks changing hands rising 121 percent, valued 55 percent lower than on Monday, and resulting in five securities being traded, compared to six on Monday with two rising and three declining but the market outperform the rest of the Jamaica Stock Exchange markets that plunged at the close of trading.
Overall, 198,410 shares were traded, for US$3,547 compared to 89,619 units at US$7,899 on Monday.
Trading averaged 39,682 units at US$709, versus 14,937 shares at US$1,316 on Monday, with a month to date average of 19,171 shares at US$821 compared with 10,625 units at US$867 on the previous day. in contrast November ended with an average of 249,102 units for US$14,204.
The US Denominated Equities Index popped 3.47 points to stop trading at 227.61.

Slippage for JSE USD market
Trading on Wednesday, ended with the market declining after trading 57.5 percent more shares than on Tuesday, at the close of the US dollar market of the Jamaica Stock Exchange, resulting in fall of 6.63 points to 212.08 in the market index.
Six securities traded, similar to Tuesday with the price of one rising, two declining and three closing unchanged.
The average PE Ratio based on ICInsider.com’s forecast of 2021-22 earnings ends at 13.2.
Overall, 455,125 shares traded, for US$12,464 compared to 289,034 units at US$36,227 on Tuesday.

JSE USD stocks slipped
The US dollar market of the Jamaica Stock Exchange closed trading on Monday, with the market index declining after trading 99 percent fewer shares than on Friday.
At the close of the market, trading ended with two securities changing hands compared to four on Friday and ended with no stocks rising, two declining and none remaining unchanged.
The JSE USD Equities Index declined by 0.38 points to settle at 193.35, and the average PE Ratio ended at 13.6 based on ICInsider.com’s forecast of 2020-21 earnings.
The market closed with an exchange of 12,620 shares, amounting to just US$1,667 compared to 1,125,027 units at US$106,525 on Friday.
The average trade for the day amounts to 6,310 units changing hands at US$834, in contrast to an average of 281,257 shares at US$26,631 on Friday. Trading ended with an average of 42,298 units
for the month to date at US$5,461 in contrast to 43,798 units at US$5,653 on Friday. By comparison, October ended with an average of 697,808 units for US$17,320.

The US dollar market of the Jamaica Stock Exchange closed trading on Friday, with the market declining after investors traded 57 percent fewer shares than Thursday.
Trading ended with four securities changing hands compared to four on Thursday and ended with the prices of one stock rising, one declining and two remaining unchanged.
The JSE USD Equities Index shed 2.25 points to settle at 188.78, and the average PE Ratio of the market ended at 13.5 based on IC Insider.com’s forecast of 2020-21 earnings.
The market closed with an exchange of 46,025 shares, accounting for US$13,692 compared to 107,781 units at US$20,162 on Thursday.
The average trade of 11,506 units changing hands atUS$3,423 on Friday, in contrast to an average of 26,945 shares, at US$5,040on Thursday. Trading ended, with an average of 43,115units for the month to date at US$3,826 in contrast to 45,925 units at US$3,862. By comparison, July ended with an average of 133,150 units for US$18,282.

In the preference segment, JMMB Group 5.75% gained 4 cents to close at US$2.05 after trading 2,100 shares.
