Honey Bun fell $3 to close at $13 on Wednesday.

The junior market index recovered some ground on Wednesday with a gain of 26.10 points to end at 1,881.43. Trading ended with 12 active securities, 6 of which advanced and 5 declined while 1,448,567 units valued at $4,853,764, changed hands.
At the close of trading only 3 stocks closed with bids higher than the last selling prices and just 2 ended with lower offers.
At the end of trading, AMG Packaging closed trading with 8,000 units to end at $13, Cargo Handlers hit a new 52 weeks’ high by gaining 52 cents to close with 1,000 units changing hands at $43.51, Caribbean Cream traded 38,648 units to end at $4 after trading down to $3.65 in the morning session. Caribbean Producers traded 4,570 units but gained 7 cents to end at $4, Consolidated Bakeries gained 4 cents with 1,000 shares trading $1.10, JM Trdng Sht 20-4-16

General Accident traded 939,649 shares and rose 15 cents to end at $2.65, Honey Bun fell $3 to close at $13 while 5,898 shares changed hands. Iron Rock Insurance did not trade but had 5,003,000 units on the bid to at $3.10, while the stock last traded at $3.50. Jetcon Corporation fell 3 cents and closed at $2.47 after 61,500 shares changed hands, Lasco Distributors gained 30 cents to end at $5.80 with 216,200 units trading, Lasco Financial fell by 8 cents and closed at $2.95, with 4,000 shares changing hands. Lasco Manufacturing gained 11 cents with 151,325 shares changing hands to close at $3.72 and tTech ended with 5,744 shares changing hands at $4.15 as the price gained 3 cents.

JM Sign The junior market index lost some ground by the close on Tuesday with a loss of 19.39 points to end at 1,855.33, but trading volumes climbed above Monday’ s levels as Caribbean Cream, Lasco Distributors and Lasco Financial Services traded over 280,000 units each. Trading ended with 16 active securities, 6 of which advanced and 5 declined while 1,514,172 units valued at $7,024,157, changed hands.
On Monday 1,099,234 shares traded valued at $4.6 million at the close of trading only 1 stock closed with the bid higher than the last selling price and just 2 ended with lower offers.
At the end of trading, AMG Packaging gained 50 cents in trading 5,700 units to end at $13, Cargo Handlers hit a new 52 weeks’ high by gaining 52 cents to close with 1,000 units changing hands at $43.51, Caribbean Cream traded 283,550 units to end at $4. Caribbean Producers traded 1,732 units but fell 7 cents to end at $3.93, Consolidated Bakeries gained 1 cent with 15,000 shares trading $1.06, Dolphin Cove traded 200 shares at $13 for a loss of $1.50, Honey Bun fell 50 cents to close at $16 while 17,300 shares changed hands. Eppley up 26% in a week to Tuesday

Eppley added $46 to reach a new high on Tuesday

Eppley surged $46 to hit an all-time high of $505 in trading on the Jamaican Stock Exchange junior market on Tuesday while trading 8,337 shares. The stock is now up 26.25 percent since last week with latest price putting the PE at 7.2 times last year’s earnings of $70.43 per share and comes ahead of the company exploring the raising of added equity capital for expansion.
The junior market closed slightly lower on Tuesday with a fall of 5.07 points to 1,819.09. Trading ended with 15 active securities, 5 of which advanced and 4 declined as 1,258,428 units valued at $7,440,298, changed hands.

JSE sign The junior market took a breather on Thursday from the sharp fall of the past few days to record a moderate gain of 6.85 points to close at 1,762.87. The market ended with 12 active securities, 4 of which advanced and 5 declined as only 785,366 units changed hands, valued at $2,423,588.
There were 6 stocks closing with bids that were higher than their last selling prices and 3 ended with lower offers. The junior market have fallen by a huge 25.5 percent from it peak earlier in the year. Sharp declines in the three Lasco listed stocks are major factors behind the steepness of the fall.
At the end of trading, CAC 2000 fell 3 cents as 11,080 shares traded to close at $6.50, Consolidated Bakeries lost 6 cents in trading 55,367 units, to end at $1.15, C2W Music traded 8,700 units at 33 cents, Dolphin Cove ended at $14.50 with 190 shares trading, General Accident fell by 37 cents in trading 93,021 units and closed at $2.33. JSE stable on Thursday morning

Trading the Jamaican Stock Exchange is off to a slow start with all the indices inching up after 75 minutes of trading on Thursday. An average of 32,320 units of active stocks traded, up from an average of 40,324 units that traded in the prior mid-morning session.
A total of 20 securities, accounting for only 646,395 shares changed hands at 10.45 am as 4 stocks gained and 7 declined, continuing the negative trend in place for some time. Cable & Wireless is one of two stocks to trade more than 100,000 shares, as the price of the stock stabilized at $1 with 125,767 shares traded while recently listed Jetcon Corporation accounted for 363,344 units as the price slipped to $2.85.
The market saw all Jamaica Composite Index gained 3.10 points to 166,905.78, the JSE Market Index rose 2.77 points to 150,285.45 the JSE combined index ending with gain of 160.74 points to 157,577.33 and the junior market index moved up by 15.43 points to 1,771.45.
