Main Event ended trading with 3,726 shares, after rising 40 cents to end at $6, Paramount Trading exchanged 10,925 units and gained 5 cents to end at $2.25 and Stationery and Office Supplies ended trading of 25,000 shares, after rising 85 cents to end at $12.

Junior Market advances – Friday

The Junior Market of the Jamaica Stock Exchange advanced by 26.63 points to close at 3,449.18 in trading on Friday with advancing stocks beat out declining ones.
The market closed with 32 securities crossing the exchange versus 30 on Thursday and ended with the prices of 14 securities advanced, 10 declined and 8 remained unchanged.
Market activities, resulted in an exchange of 1,888,462 units valued at $8,580,846 compared to 2,444,430 units valued at $10,669,698 changing hands on Thursday.
Trading ended with an average of 59,014 units for an average of $268,151 in contrast to 81,481 units for an average of $355,657 on Thursday. The average volume and value for the month to date amounts to 96,155 units at $451,253 compared to 109,660 units at $517,835 previously, in contrast, September closed with an average of 954,574 units valued at $2,612,695 for each security traded.

Caribbean Producers ended trading with 52,000 shares, after rising 24 cents to end at $4.75, Consolidated Bakeries closed with a loss of 5 cents at $1.75, after swapping 41,453 shares, Dolphin Cove lost 50 cents in trading 20,200 shares to close at $10. Derrimon Trading dipped 9 cents in trading 107,111 units at $2.46, Express Catering closed 72 cents higher at $6.40, with 25,512 stock units trading, Elite Diagnostic dropped 71 cents in trading 37,934 units to close at $5.50, Fosrich declined 5 cents in trading of 900 units at $5. Fontana shed 20 cents in exchanging 43,194 units at $8.20, General Accident closed with 21,716 units changing hands and gained 10 cents to end at $6.50, Honey Bun climbed 20 cents and exchanged 24,645 shares at $6.35, Indies Pharma traded 33,253 shares, after rising 4 cents to end at $3.35. Jamaican Teas lost 17 cents with 17,482 units changing hands at $5.93, Jetcon Corporation climbed 16 cents and exchanged 23,163 shares at $1.96, Knutsford Express climbed 19 cents in swapping 11,513 shares at $11. Lasco Distributors fell 5 cents in trading 883,543 units at $3.75, Lasco Financial closed 9 cents higher at $4.85, with 156,058 stock units crossing the exchange, Lasco Manufacturing climbed 11 cents and exchanged 36,415 shares at $5.40.  Limners and Bards declined by 20 cents to settle at $2.55 with 65,972 units crossing the exchange, Main Event climbed 9 cents and exchanged 4,000 shares at $5.60 and SSL Venture Capital lost 25 cents in trading of 1,000 units at $1.35.
