The majority of stocks rose on the Junior Market of the Jamaica Stock Exchange on Friday, with the market index rising as investors traded 30 percent fewer shares with a value that was 57 percent lower than on Thursday even after Jamaican Teas, three for one stock split took effect at the start of trading and resulted in over 2.11 billion units in issue.

Trading ended with 35 securities changing hands compared to 32 on Thursday and ended with the prices of 17 stocks rising, the prices of nine declining and nine remaining unchanged.
At the close, the Junior Market Index gained 26.08 points to settle at 2,513.83. The average PE Ratio ended at 12.4 based on ICInsider.com’s forecast of 2020-21 earnings.
The market closed with 3,342,645 shares trading at $8,216,185 versus 4,782,100 units at $19,328,148 on Thursday.
Derrimon Trading led trading with 23 percent of total volume with a transfer of 768,451 shares, followed by Lumber Depot with 15.2 percent of the day’s trade with an exchange of 508,099 units and Jamaican Teas with 15 percent market share or 502,383 units.
Trading ended with an average of 95,504 units at $234,748 in contrast to 149,441 at $604,005 on Thursday. For the month to date, the average trade is 187,110 units at $553,030, compared to 192,183 units at $570,657 on Thursday. October ended with an average of 230,868 units at $535,509 trading.

At the close of the market, AccessFinancial gained 10 cents to finish at $22 with 5,000 shares changing hands, AMG Packaging lost 5 cents to settle at $1.55 with an exchange of 2,735 stock units, Caribbean Cream advanced 28 cents to end at $4.13 with a transfer of 50 shares. Caribbean Producers climbed 23 cents to close at $2.63 with 145,795 units traded, Consolidated Bakeries increased 20 cents to $1.22 with 3,582 stocks changing hands, Derrimon Trading exchanged 768,451 shares and fell 10 cents to $2.40.Dolphin Cove gained 24 cents to end at $6.25 with 965 units changing hands, Elite Diagnostic rose 2 cents to $3.02 with investors swapping 99,756 stocks, Everything Fresh lost 10 cents to finish at 66 cents with 2,394 shares traded. Express Catering jumped 44 cents to $3.80 with 10,590 stock units passing through the market, Fontana dropped 30 cents to $5 with an exchange of 260,252 units, Fosrich increased 6 cents to $4.07 with 27,449 shares changing hands. GWest Corporation slipped 4 cents to 69 cents with 2,242 stocks changing hands, Honey Bun rose 3 cents to $4.83, trading 12,684 shares, iCreate rose 4 cents to 65 cents with 75,897 units passing through the market. 
ISP Finance surged $6.39 to $22.50 with 2,270 stocks changing hands, after a three for one stock split, Jamaican Teas exchanged 502,383 shares and added 9 cents to settle at a post-split price of $2.05, Jetcon Corporation rose 5 cents to 75 cents with the transfer of 5,539 units. Lasco Financial rose 20 cents to close at $2.60 with 40,000 shares crossing the exchange, Lasco Manufacturing declined 10 cents to $3.80 with the trading of 5,375 stocks, Limners and Bards gained 5 cents to settle at $2.50 and switching ownership of 31,000 units. Lumber Depot traded 508,099 shares and lost 7 cents to end at $1.21, Medical Disposables jumped 42 cents to close at $4.35 with 4,000 stocks crossing the market, Stationery and Office Supplies gained 5 cents to finish at $4.55 with 8,958 units changing hands.
