Moderate trading on TTSE – Wednesday

Trading on the Trinidad & Tobago Stock Exchange ended with 14 securities changing on Wednesday against 8 on Tuesday, with 4 stocks advancing, 3 declining and 7 remained unchanged.
At close, the Composite Index rose 2.50 points on to 1,270.81. The All T&T Index slipped 0.22 points to 1,704.36, while the Cross Listed Index rose 0.71 points to 112.98.
Market activity ended with a mere 175,296 shares with a value of $2,284,648 compared to 107,817 units with a value of $2,343,695 on Tuesday.

Gains|First Caribbean gained 10 cents and finished at $9.30, trading 40,000 shares valued at $371,986, JMMB Group ended trading with 2,500 shares and gained of 5 cents to close at $1.70, Scotiabank closed trading with a gain 1 cent and ended at $60.01, exchanging 1,380 shares and Unilever Caribbean rose 95 cents and finished at $28, trading a mere 254 units.
Losses| Guardian Holdings closed with a fall of 15 cents at $16.40, trading 445 shares, LJ Williams B share fell 7 cents, ending at 52 weeks’ low of 70 cents with 500 units changing hands and Trinidad & Tobago NGL closed with a fall of 20 cents at $26, trading 35,892 shares valued at $933,269.
Firm Traded| Clico Investments ended at $21, with 25,600 units trading, First Citizens ended at $32, trading 4,562 shares, Grace Kennedy concluded trading with 32,008 units at $3.10, LJ Williams A share  ended at 22 cents, with 29,727 stock units. National Flour closed trading at $1.91, with 500 stock units, Trinidad Cement closed at $3.75, with 1,000 stock units and West Indian Tobacco ended trading 928 shares at $90.
