Trading on the Jamaica Stock Exchange closed with 4.49 million shares changing hands with a value of $28,237,865, in the main market on Friday.
The market indices closed out the week on a negative note, but the advanced decline ratio, was highly positive. The JSE Market Index lost 224.48 points to 82,339.30, the JSE All Jamaican Composite index fell 250.98 points to close at 90,777.46 and the JSE combined index declined by 241.19 points to close at 84,012.30.
Desnoes & Geddes with 1 million shares and Jamaica Money Market Brokers with 2.5 million shares were the leading trades. The main price gains were recorded by Carreras up by 49 cents to $38.50, National Commercial Bank 14 cents to $24.85 and Seprod 75 cents to $13. Declining price changes were moderate.
