Trading in the early Thursday morning session on the Jamaica Stock Exchange continues the moderate trend of recent day with volumes remaining below the 100,000 unit level except for Lasco Manufacturing with 672,739 units as the price rose 25 cents to $5 
and with the main market recording a decline overall and juniors having a minor loss.
Grace Kennedy traded 35,714 shares for a new high of $121 and Jamaica Producers traded 55,300 to hit a 52 weeks’ high of $44.10.
Trading resulted in activity in 31 securities, accounting for a volume of 1,075,717 units as 12 stocks gained and 9 declined. The average number of shares traded amounts to just 33,616 units compared to an average of 11,015 units on Tuesday
After 75 minutes of trading in the early morning session, on Thursday, the all Jamaica Composite Index dropped 259.92 points to 177,238.90, the JSE Market Index lost 232.41 points to 159,524.91, the JSE combined index dipped 39.32 to close at 170,733.18 points andthe junior market index inched up 5.15 points to 2,218.30.

Moderate trading as JSE drops – Wednesday
Trading in the early Wednesday morning session on the Jamaica Stock Exchange was moderate in a lackluster market but Honey Bun traded at a new high of $7.50 with a 50 cents gain.
Trading resulted in activity in 23 securities, accounting for a volume of a mere 253,341 units as 8 stocks gained and 5 declined. The average number of shares traded amounts to just 11,015 units compared to an average of 714,361 units on Tuesday
After 75 minutes of trading in the early morning session, on Wednesday, the all Jamaica Composite Index dropped 948.35 points to 176,636.15, the JSE Market Index lost 847.97 points to 158,986.96, the JSE combined index dipped 715.15 to close at 170,111.47 points and the junior market index inched up 6.90 points to 2,206.44.
Majors drop juniors rise
Honey Bun traded at a new high of $7 in the early Tuesday morning session on the Jamaica Stock Exchange with 234,037 units changing hands while 1834 Investments traded and Radio Jamaica traded over 6.4 million units and Lasco Manufacturing had 5 million units changing hands. 
The other stocks trading over 100,000 units in the main market include Cable & Wireless with 100,000units at $1.45, Carreras 101,167 shares at $64.70, Consolidated Bakeries 526,000 at $2, Jamaica Broilers 260,811 at $14 and Lasco Financial Services 828,325 shares down to $3.20.
Trading resulted in activity in 29 securities, accounting for a volume of 20,716,456 units as 11 stocks gained and 13 declined. The average number of shares traded amounts to 714,361 units compared to an average of 34,611 units on Monday. After 2 hours of trading in the early morning session, on Tuesday, the all Jamaica Composite Index dropped 1,136.39 points to 177,864.96, the JSE Market Index lost 1,016.11 points to 160,084.71, the JSE combined index dipped 633.32 points, to 171,320.16 and the junior market index jumped 30.02 points to 2,224.91.
Honey Bun hits new high – Monday
Honey Bun traded at a new high of $6.15 in the early Monday morning session on the Jamaica Stock Exchange with 51,129 units changing hands and Radio Jamaica traded 241,870 units to hit a new high of $2.22 and traded after at $2.20.
The overall market started off on a positive note in confirming that the market hit a bottom in May.
Stocks trading over 100,000 units in the main market include Lasco Manufacturing trading 172,769 shares at $4.70 and Pulse Investments that traded 100,000 shares at $3.
Trading resulted in activity in 25 securities, accounting for a volume of 796,058 units as 11 stocks gained and 3 declined. The average number of shares traded amounts to 34,611 units compared to an average of 54,276 units on Friday.

Market index chopped – Friday
Trading in the early morning session of the Jamaica Stock Exchange saw the main market indices being chopped sharply from Thursday close by nearly 1 percent but the junior market index climbed by almost 2.5 percent in contrast.
Honey Bun fresh from a 5 to 1 stock split, trading at a new high $5.01 and pulled back to $5, but the bid is now at $5.05. Radio Jamaica also traded at a new high of $2 and Consolidated Bakeries traded 46,296 units at a new one year high of $2.13
Stocks trading over 100,000 units in the main market include Cable & Wireless with 364,430 units at $1.48, Radio Jamaica 103,710 at a new high of $2, Supreme Ventures 348,904 shares at $4.50. In the junior market and Lasco Financial traded 164,400 shares at $3.30.
Trading resulted in activity in 25 securities, accounting for a volume of 1,356,891 units as 10 stocks gained and 4 declined. The average number of shares traded amounts to 54,276 units compared to an average of 135,568 units on Thursday.
After 75 minutes of trading in the early morning session, on Friday, the all Jamaica Composite Index was chopped by 1,080.88 points to 176,234.77, the JSE Market Index fell 966.48 points to 158,627.06, the JSE combined index fell 356.36 points, to 169,738.24 and the junior market index jumped 52.67 points to 2,202.72.
Juniors trade over 2.6m shares – Thursday
Spurred by good volumes in a number of junior market stocks, the junior market has so far traded over 2.6 million units while the main market had 3 securities trading in volumes over 100,000 units. Honey Bun fresh from a 5 to 1 stock split traded for the first time at $4.30.
Volumes increased for a number of stocks as Honey Bun traded 155,000 units at $4.30, Iron Rock Insurance exchanged 600,000 shares at $3.20, Lasco Distributors lost ground, in trading 762,546 units at $7.90 down from $8 on 
Wednesday and Lasco Manufacturing had with 1,048,000 shares trading at $4.60. JMMB Group traded 100,000 units at $10, Sagicor Real Estate X Fund had 500,400 shares changing hands at $10 while Supreme Ventures accounted for 219,900 shares at $4.30.

New records as JSE rises – Wednesday
Pan Jamaican Investment Trust traded for the first time since the stock split of 5 for 1 and hit $28 but has since traded at $26.10 for a 52 weeks’ high. The stock had a volume of 3.75 million units changing hands on the Jamaica Stock Exchange. 
Jamaica Producers traded at a new 52 weeks’ high of $41.50, Honey Bun fresh from a 5 to 1 stock split is yet to trade and have no stock on offer.
Volumes increased for several stocks as increased demand was evident in early trading. Trading resulted in activity in 24 securities, accounting for a volume of 5,603,430 units as 11 stocks gained and 8 declined. The average number of shares traded amounts to 233,476 units compared to an average of 37,571 units on Tuesday.

Grace trades at $115 on JSE – Tuesday
Grace Kennedy hit $115 with a rise of $4 in trading on the Jamaica Stock Exchange in the early morning session on Tuesday with 1,150 shares changing hands, while Pan Jamaican Investment Trust bid is at $27 to buy 526 units with the stock on offer at $30. Honey Bun that trades ex split today has not yet trade with orders to buy still in at $19 and below with the ex split price being $3.80 and the highest price it can trade ta being $4.94 today.
Lasco Distributors had the largest volume traded for the morning of 260,000 units at $7.47 followed by Cable & Wireless with 199,074 shares at $1.38 and Jamaica Money Market Brokers 7.50% preference share with 137,702 units at $2.10.

Berger Paints traded 95,000 shares at $4.45, Ciboney Group had 292,937 units trading at 20 cents, Consolidated Bakeries had trading in 122,036 units at $1.70, Supreme Ventures saw trading in 271,187 units at $4.65, JMMB Group 7.50% preference share had 92,900 units changing hands at $1.04 and Jamaica Money Market Brokers 7.50% preference share traded 490,000 units at $2.10.

Caribbean Flavours at $8 and Jamaica Money Market Brokers 7.50% preference share with 312,000 units changing hands at $2.11, volumes were light on the Jamaica Stock Exchange, in the early morning session on Friday.
Trading resulted in activity in 28 securities, accounting for a volume of 1,571,599 units as 9 stocks gained and 9 declined. The average number of shares traded is just 56,129 units compared to an average of a mere 18,121 units on Thursday.
