Trinidad & Tobago Stock Exchange closed on Wednesday with trading in 15 securities against 17 on Tuesday, with 4 advancing, 6 declining and 5 remaining unchanged.
At the close of the market, the Composite Index climbed 15.06 points on to 1,407.92. The All T&T Index fell 0.49 points to 1,754.47, while the Cross Listed Index gained 4.24 points to close at 143.88.
Trading ended with 175,816 shares at a value of $2,075,581, compared to 291,079 shares at a value of $4,293,499 shares on Tuesday.
IC bid-offer Indicator|The Investor’s Choice bid-offer indicator ended with 2 stocks closing with the bids higher than the last selling prices and 6 with lower offers.
Gains| First Caribbean International Bank traded 700 shares and gained 75 cents to land at a 52 weeks’ high of $9.25, NCB Financial gained 15 cents to close at $10.50, after exchanging 114 shares. Republic Financial increased 4 cents and settled at $121.85, with investors exchanging 3,293 shares and Trinidad & Tobago NGL exchanged 26,115 units and rose 50 cents to close at $26.
Losses| Angostura Holdings declined 5 cents to end at $16, with 990 units changing hands, Clico Investment Fund dipped 2 cents and closed at $24.15, after exchanging 18,893 shares, JMMB Group fell 5 cents and ended at $2.20, with an exchange of 66,985 stock units. National Flour closed with a loss of 3 cents at $1.65, with investors exchanging 45,750 shares, Scotiabank ended with a loss of 1 cent to settle at $58.74, with 3,142 units trading and Trinidad Cement shed 10 cents and closed at a 52 weeks’ low of $2, after the swapping of 6,205 shares.
Firm Trades| Angostini’s traded just 6 shares in closing at $24, First Citizens Bank completed trading at $40.15, with 1,032 stock units changing hands, Massy Holdings ended at $54.45, after swapping 634 shares, Prestige Holdings completed trading of 49 stock units at $8.10 and Sagicor Financial ended at $10.21, with 1,908 stock units changing hands.
