104% surge in ICTOP10 stock in a week


ICTOP10 listing, Kintyre Holdings dominated trading on the Junior Market of the Jamaica Stock Exchange in the past week, with the price closing up 104 percent for the week to a 52 weeks high of 60 cents. Investors reacted to the posting of a huge increase in profits of $62 million for the September quarter, with earnings per share of 11 cents and profit of $78 million for the year to September, resulting in 14 cents earnings per share.

With the above gains, the stock sits at the number two position in the TOP10 chart, with more room to run, with ICInsider’s projection of 20 cents per share for earnings this year.
In the Junior Market TOP10, Caribbean Flavours climbed 18 percent to $1.94, followed by Spur Tree Spices, gaining 14 percent to $1.14 and Caribbean Cream rose 10 percent to $2.32. Jetcon Corporation, with a solid rebound in profits this year to September, dropped 14 percent to $1.29.
Caribbean Flavours dropped out of the Junior Market TOP10, allowing AMG Packaging to return to the list after a long absence.
Stanley Motta dropped 11 percent but fell out of the Main Market ICTOP10, with Berger Paints returning after a long absence, based on an increase in projected earnings. Guardian Holdings declined 9 percent to $335 and JMMB Group rallied 9 percent to $18.49.
The average PE for the JSE Main Market ICTOP 10 is 4.5, less than half of the market average of 13 and shows the potential gains of the TOP10 listings.
The Junior Market TOP10 is 6.7, just above half the market’s average of 13.6.
