Winners & losers even on JSE USD Market

Trading ended with a 42 percent increase in the volume of stocks exchanged on Friday with an 88 percent lower value than on Thursday on the Jamaica Stock Exchange US dollar market, resulting in exchange of seven securities, compared to six on Thursday with prices of two rising, two declining and three ending unchanged.
The market closed with an exchange of 87,202 shares for US$7,834 compared to 61,468 units at US$66,283 on Thursday.
Trading averaged 12,457 stock units at US$1,119 versus 10,245 shares at US$11,047 on Thursday, with a month to date average of 242,327 shares at US$7,093 compared with 262,440 stocks at US$7,616 on the previous day and July with an average of 30,304 units for US$2,118.
The US Denominated Equities Index dropped 2.50 points to wrap up trading at 220.89.
The PE Ratio, a most used measure for computing appropriate stock values, averages 7.8. The PE ratio is calculated based on last traded prices divided by projected earnings done by ICInsider.com for companies with financial year ending and or around August 2025.
Investor’s Choice bid-offer indicator shows no stock ending with a bid higher than the last selling price and one with a lower offer.
At the close, First Rock Real Estate USD share sank 0.93 of one cent to close at 3.8 US cents with 20,000 shares changing hands, Margaritaville shed 0.09 of a cent to end at 8 US cents with an exchange of 374 stocks, Proven Investments ended at 10 US cents in trading 56,300 shares. Sterling Investments climbed 0.03 of a cent in closing at 1.58 US cents with investors trading 1,590 stocks and Transjamaican Highway increased 0.07 of a cent and ended at 1.98 US cents with 7,990 shares crossing the exchange.
In the preference segment, JMMB Group US8.5% preference share ended at US$1.20 with investors swapping 937 stock units and Sygnus Credit Investments E8.5% closed at US$10 after closing with an exchange of 11 stocks.
