Trading fell off on the Trinidad & Tobago Stock Exchange on Friday as 11 securities changed hands compared to 14 on Thursday with all three indices rising modestly. Guardian Holdings and Clico Investment led with 51 percent and 37 percent respectively of the value of securities exchanged.
At the close, 2 stocks advanced, 3 declined and 6 were unchanged as 459,886 units traded valued at $6,474,935 compared to Thursday’s trades of 478,341 valued at $14,743,320.
The Composite Index rose 0.26 points to 1,241.95, the All T&T Index gained 0.19 points to 1,789.05 and the Cross Listed Index gained 0.05 points to close at 93.33.
IC bid-offer Indicator| The Investor’s Choice bid-offer ended with 4 stocks with bids higher than last selling prices and 3 with lower offers.
Gains| Angostura Holdings closed trading at $15.15 after the price rose 15 cents, with 594 shares changing hands and Massy Holdings gained 3 cents in closing at $8.95 trading 300 shares.
Losses| The last traded prices of securities declining and the volume changing hands are Guardian Holdings with a loss of 5 cents, to close at $16.55 with 198,091 shares valued at $3,278,320. JMMB Group fell 1 cent and closed at $1.30 with 104,216 shares and Republic Financial Holdings closed 2 cents lower to $101.90 with 1,537 shares.
Firm Trades| The last traded prices of securities and the volume traded unchanged at the close are Clico Investment closing at $20.50 with 118,036 shares valued at $2,418,889, First Citizens trading 5,105 units at $31.68. National Enterprises closed at $10.48 with 10,010 shares, Sagicor Financial remained at $8.50 with 21,429 shares, Trinidad Cement traded just 68 shares at $4.20 and Trinidad & Tobago NGL exchanged 500 shares at $22.01.
