Trading rises prices fall on JSE USD market

Four stocks fell and two held firm at the close of trading on Jamaica Stock Exchange US dollar market on Thursday, with the market declining after trading 736 percent more shares than on Wednesday.
Trading ended with six securities changing hands, versus seven on Wednesday and ended with no stock rising, four declining and two remained unchanged.
JSE USD equity index declined 6.22 points to 187.96. The average PE Ratio based on ICInsider.com’s forecast of 2020-21 earnings is 12.9.
The market closed with an exchange of 224,257 shares for US$7,035, up from 30,450 units, for a consideration of US$4,741 on Wednesday.
Trading averaged 37,376 units at US$1,173, in contrast to an average of 4,350 shares at US$677 on Wednesday. Trading averaged 60,320 units for the month to date at US$8,856 in contrast to 62,735 units at US$9,664 on Wednesday. By comparison, November ended with an average of 51,134 units at  US$4,516 each.
Investor’s Choice bid-offer indicator reading shows no stock ending with the bid higher than the last selling prices and two with lower offers.
At the close of the market, First Rock Capital Investment remained at 9 US cents in trading 2,093 shares, Margaritaville remained at 11 US cents, with 1,500 stock units changing hands, Proven Investments lost 1.98 cents to end at 24.01 US cents in trading 16,149 stocks. Sterling Investments fell 0.38 of a cent in ending at 2 US cents with an exchange of 36,044 units, Sygnus Credit Investments shed 0.3 US cents in closing at 15.7 US cents, trading 2,626 stocks and Transjamaican Highway declined by 0.14 of a cent in ending at 0.81 of a US cent and clearing the market with 165,845 stock units.
