Trading levels sink low

The Trinidad & Tobago Stock Exchange closed on Thursday with 11 securities changing hands compared to 9 on Wednesday with 2 stocks advancing, 2 declining and 7 holding firm.
The market closed with 42,162 shares traded at a value of $861,732 compared to Wednesday’s trades of 151,676 units valued at $794,116.
The Composite Index dropped 0.94 points to 1,243.73, the All T&T Index declined 1.86 points to 1,782.93 and the Cross Listed Index closed unchanged at 94.66.
IC bid-offer Indicator| The Investor’s Choice bid-offer ended with 4 stocks with bids higher than last selling prices and 7 with lower offers.
Gains| Guardian Holdings gained 24 cents, and closed at $15.25 while exchanging 410 units and Trinidad & Tobago NGL added 1 cent, in ending at $23.01 with 21,912 shares valued at $503,978.
Losses| First Citizens lost 1 cent, and closed at $31.99 with 4,438 shares and Unilever Caribbean plunged to a 52 weeks’ low of $46.02 after dropping $3.33 in trading only 461 units.
Firm Trades| The last traded prices of securities and the volume traded unchanged at the close of trading are Clico Investment closing at $21.51 with 2,400 shares, JMMB Group traded 2,500 shares at $1.35, National Enterprises exchanged 100 units at $10.37, Republic Financial Holdings ended at $101.89 with 54 units. Sagicor Financial closed at $8.15 with 6,782 shares, Scotiabank remained at $58.02 with trades of 1,105 units and Trinidad Cement traded 2,000 shares at $4.21.
