Trading picked up on the Trinidad & Tobago Stock Exchange on Tuesday with 664,912 shares were exchanged at a value of $10,209,762 compared to Monday with 180,831 valued at $8,268,271, market activity emanated from 13 securities changing hands in contrast to 7 on Monday.
Agostini’s accounted for 50 percent of the value of stocks traded followed by Scotiabank with 34 percent as the market indices all rose by the close of trading and leading to 4 securities rising in price, 2 falling and 7 remaining unchanged.
At the end of market activity, the Composite Index gained 0.08 points to 1,207.36, the All T&T Index rose 0.09 points to 1,789.67 and the Cross Listed Index was up 0.01 point to 83.75.

Gains| Agostini’s closed at a 52 weeks’ high of $20.01, gaining 1 cent after trading 255,988 shares valued at $5,122,320, Grace Kennedy gained 1 cent, closing at $2.76 with an exchange of 218,347 shares valued at $602,468, Guardian Holdings advanced to $16.16, with a 2 cents gain in exchanging 310 units and Massy Holdings closed at $50, rising by 1 cent, trading of 11,381 shares at valued at $569,050.
Losses| Clico Investment closed at a 52 weeks’ low of $22.49, losing 1 cent but traded at a low of $2.44 before closing trading with 2,700 shares and Sagicor Financial lost 2 cents to close at $8.02, with 8,172 shares changing hands.
Firm Trades| Angostura Holdings traded 55 units at $15.01, Ansa Merchant Bank closed at $40, with an exchange of 1,964 shares, First Citizens closed at $31.65, with 826 units changing hands. JMMB Group exchanged 25,000 shares at $1.25, Republic Financial Holdings remained at $101.90 trading only 8 units, Scotiabank closed at $58.02, with trades of 60,001 shares valued at $3,481,258 and Scotia Investments held firm at $2.07 exchanging 80,160 shares.
