Trading dropped on the JSE USD market

Market activity dropped with 73 percent fewer shares trading on Thursday than on Wednesday as just three securities changed hands, compared to six on Wednesday on the Jamaica Stock Exchange US dollar market.
Trading ended with one stock rising, none declining and two remaining unchanged.
JSE USD Equity Index gained 1.06 points to end at 199.00. The average PE Ratio is at 13.5 based on ICInsider.com’s forecast of 2020-21 earnings.
The market closed with an exchange of 276,431 shares, for US$54,975 compared to 1,020,891 units at US$126,246 on Wednesday.
Trading averaged 92,144 units changing hands at US$18,325, in contrast to 170,149 shares at US$21,041 on Wednesday. Trading averaged 100,798 units for the month to date at US$12,197 in contrast to 102,325 units at US$11,115 on Wednesday. By comparison, January ended with an average of 121,154 units for US$15,408.
Investor’s Choice bid-offer indicator shows five stocks ending with bids higher than their last selling prices and none with a lower offer.
At the close, Proven Investments closed at 26 US cents after exchanging 148,792 shares, Sygnus Credit Investments settled at 15 US cents trading after 105,434 shares and Transjamaican Highway advanced 0.08 of a cent to close at 0.98 US cents, with the ownership of 22,205 shares switching.
