Trading levels dropped sharply on the Trinidad & Tobago Stock Exchange on Friday closed with 156,178 shares valued at $2,255,149 changing hands compared to Thursday’s 623,687 units valued at $14,619,055.
At the close, 15 securities changed hands compared to 18 on Thursday with 3 rising in price, 4 declining and 8 trading unchanged. Market activity led to the Composite Index slipping 1.53 points to 1,244.52, the All T&T Index falling just by 0.38 points to 1,791.53 and the Cross Listed Index easing 0.37 points to close at 93.68.

Gains| The last traded prices of securities rising and the volume changing hands are Clico Investment gained 5 cents, rising to $20.75 with 27,450 shares valued at $569,260, Massy Holdings ending with gains of 8 cents and closed at $49 with 416 units and Point Lisas closing 10 cents higher to $4 with 1,000 units.
Losses| The last traded prices of securities declining and the volume changing hands are First Citizens lost 4 cents, closing at $31.96 with 543 units changing hands, Guardian Holdings with a loss of 19 cents, closed at $16.20 with 165 units, NCB Financial Group closed at $5.10, losing 5 cents and trading 34,000 shares and Sagicor Financial ending with a loss of 1 cent, closed at $8.19 exchanging 12,203 shares.
Firm Trades| The last traded prices of securities and the volume traded unchanged at the close of trading are Agostini’s exchanging 2,750 units at $20.52, Angostura Holdings trading 2,732 units at $15.15. JMMB Group closed at $1.32 exchanging 13,190 shares, Readymix closed at $11 with 368 units. Republic Financial Holdings closed at $102 trading 4,571 shares valued at $466,209, Scotiabank remained at $58.02 with 2,580 units, Trinidad Cement closed at $4.20 with 32,673 shares and Trinidad & Tobago NGL held firm at $23 with 21,537 stock units valued at $495,351.
