Several IC TOP 10 changes

The Jamaica Stock Exchange saw new record highs for the main and Junior Market, with attention moving decisively in favour of the latter that lagged the main market for the greater part of the year.
Prices of Consolidated Bakeries and Caribbean Flavours rose, pushing them out of the Junior Market Top 10. They were replaced, by Caribbean Cream that closed the week, with the price down at $4.25 and Everything Fresh.
In the Main Market TOP 10, Victoria Mutual Investments jumped to a record high of $9, after the company reported 9 cents in earnings per share for the June quarter and 17 cents for the half-year, just below IC Insider.com forecast of 50 cents for the full year. The stock closed at a record high of $8.20 and exited the TOP 10. Pulse Investments climbed to close the week at $3.26 and fell from the top list. Earnings for Sterling Investments were revised downwards to 23 cents per share, resulting in it leaving the TOP 10. New entrants are Grace Kennedy, Proven Investments and Scotia Group.
In the past week, the main market continued its record-breaking run, closing the week at an all-time high on its way to over 800,000 points for the All Jamaica Index as momentum continues to move the market away from long-term resistance at 520,000 points. The Junior Market rose during the week and recovered all of the 2019 losses and surpassing the previous all-time high of 3,436 points in September last year. Technical indicators point to the record be taken out soon and could happen this week with more results due. The market closed over 3,500 points for the first time in the past week.
The three most attractive Junior Market stocks are Caribbean Producers with projected gains of 233 percent, followed by Iron Rock with projected gains of 196 percent and tTech with possible gains of 167 percent.
Berger Paints heads the main market with potential gains of 122 percent followed by Radio Jamaica with 122 percent and Palace Amusement in third spot and likely to gain 92 percent by March next year.
The main market closed the week with the overall PE at 16.4 and the Junior Market moved up from 11.4 last week to 12.3 as the market shifts from consolidation in the first half of the year to be bullish now. The PE ratio for Junior Market Top 10 stocks averages 8.3 versus 7.6 last week and the main market PE is now 10 4 compared to 9 at the start of last week. These levels, point to big gains for TOP 10 stocks over the next 12 months and Junior Market stocks in particular as they lag, the values of the main market by a third.
The TOP 10 stocks now trade at an average discount of 33 percent to the average for the Junior Market Top stocks and main market stocks trade at a discount of 37 percent to the overall market.
TOP 10 stocks are likely to deliver the best returns within a 12 months period. Projected earnings, for each company’s current fiscal year, are used in determining, the selected stocks. The PE for and projected earnings for each stock are computed to show potential gains for the year, which are ranked in descending order. Junior Market blast pass 3,500 to record

New record high for the JSE Junior Market.

Investors pushed most prices higher on the Junior Market in trading on Friday with the vast majority of companies contributing to market activity as the market index rocketed to cross the 3,500 mark for the first time.
The Junior Market Index jumped 74.67 points to close at a record 3,537.21 on a day when 35 securities changed hands, up from 32 on Wednesday, as prices of 21 securities rose, 9 declined and 5 remained unchanged.
At the close, Limners and Bards ended at a record close of $3.75, Elite Diagnostic closed at a record high of $6.22, Jamaican Teas ended at a record close of $7.26, but Caribbean Cream closed at a 52 weeks’ low of $4.25.
Market activities resulted in an exchange of 6,412,413 units valued at $28,100,938 compared to 16,230,256 units valued at $62,517,388 on Wednesday.
Trading ended with an average of 183,212 units for an average of $802,884 in contrast to 479,173 units for an average of $2,057,215 on Wednesday. July ended with an average of 138,412 units with a value of $563,215 for each security traded.

Record run continues for Junior Market

Investors’ attention is now focused on the Junior Market with their buying interest lifted it 16 percent, from this year’s low and pushed the market to a second day close, at a record high of 3,462.54 after rising 21.62 points.
At the close, The Lab climbed to $3.50 but ended at a record close of $3.15, Jamaican Teas ended at a record close of $5.65 and Stationery and Office Supplies closed at a record high of $12.65.

Investors in the advertising agents, Limners and Bards (the Lab) saw their investment tripling, with just three days of listing on the Junior Market, helping to push the market index to a record closing high.
The Lab that went to the market at an IPO price of $1, climbed to $3 at the close of trading on Tuesday since listing on Friday.

The Lab doubles price in two days

The Lab jumps IC TOP 10

Fresh from its recent successful IPO, shares of Limners and Bards (The Lab) were listed on the Junior Market on Friday.
Just 100 shares traded at $1.30 but the stock ended with the bid at $1.65 and it dropped out of the IC Junior Market TOP 10.
The Lab earnings for the current fiscal year to October is poised to be in the region of 13 cents per share. With the bid at $1.65, the PE is 12 with not many Junior Market stocks selling above this level. The bulls have now descended on the Junior Market and could well deliver a premium valuation for the company’s stock that will be scarce.
Lasco Manufacturing enters the Junior Market TOP 10 while Jamaica Broilers price dip to $32 and came into the Main Market TOP 10 at the expense of Seprod with the price rising from $46 last week to $48.40.

The lab up 30% first day on Junior Market

Limners and Bards started trading on the Junior Market but only 100 shares officially traded, as the price hit the 30 percent limitation at the first trade and no other investor was willing to sell at that price.

Big push higher for Junior Market

The Jamaica Stock Exchange Junior Market Index surged 85.66 points to end at 3,318.09 on Thursday, the highest close for the year, and the highest point since the latter part of October last year.
Since the close of trading last week Thursday, the Junior Market gained 234.26 and is now 2.2 percent up, for the year. The PE ratio is just 11 times 2019 estimated earnings well off from the more than 15 for the main market.
By the close of trading, Blue Power jumped to a 52 weeks’ high of $13.50 and so did Elite Diagnostic that closed trading at $6 and Stationery and Office Supplies trading at a record $12.
The market closed with 34 securities changing hands, compared to 27 on Wednesday, resulting in the prices of 21 rising, 8 declining and 5 remaining unchanged.
Trading picked up over Wednesday’s levels with an exchange of 2,463,608 units valued at $13,106,397, compared to 2,728,440 units valued at $14,270,901, on Wednesday.

The Jamaica Stock Exchange Junior Market Index climbed 42.55 points to close at 3,232.43 on Wednesday and sits just 0.4 percent below the opening level for the year and just slightly lower than the close on January 23.
The Junior Market lagged the main market in performance this year but is severely undervalued and is now poised to rise sharply with technical indicators pointing to a big rally around the corner.
Blue Power jumped to a 52 weeks’ intraday high of $11.50 while Elite Diagnostic closed trading at a 52 weeks’ high at $5.50 but Main Event that traded at an intraday 52 weeks’ high of $8 dropped back by the close.
The market closed with 27 securities changing hands, compared to 31 on Tuesday, resulting in the prices of 16 rising, 6 declining and 5 remaining unchanged.
