The Jamaica Stock Exchange Junior Market jumped by a sharp 52.12 points to 3,404.27 on Friday with 9 securities gaining, 9 falling and 7 remaining unchanged.
The market closed with 25 securities changing hands, resulting in an exchange of 1,150,661 units valued at $4,145,571, compared to 3,148,377 units valued $25,692,771 from 30 securities trading on Thursday.
Trading ended with an average of 46,026 units for an average of $165,823 in contrast to 104,946 units for an average of $856,426 on Thursday. The average volume and value for the month to date amounts to 79,306 shares at $448,516 and previously 85,292 shares at $499,360, for each security traded. In contrast, October closed with an average of 186,927 units valued at $788,734 for each security traded.

Jetcon Corporation declined by 19 cents trading of 44,000 units at $1.80, Lasco Manufacturing climbed 15 cents as it exchanged 266 shares at $5.35, Limners and Bards added 2 cents, trading 24,700 shares at $2.74 and Stationery and Office Supplies lost 20 cents in trading 10,380 stock units to close at $12.30.
