Junior Market trading positively with higher highs and higher lows

The Jamaica Stock Exchange Junior Market jumped by a sharp 52.12 points to 3,404.27 on Friday with 9 securities gaining, 9 falling and 7 remaining unchanged.
The market closed with 25 securities changing hands, resulting in an exchange of 1,150,661 units valued at $4,145,571, compared to 3,148,377 units valued $25,692,771 from 30 securities trading on Thursday.
Trading ended with an average of 46,026 units for an average of $165,823 in contrast to 104,946 units for an average of $856,426 on Thursday. The average volume and value for the month to date amounts to 79,306 shares at $448,516 and previously 85,292 shares at $499,360, for each security traded. In contrast, October closed with an average of 186,927 units valued at $788,734 for each security traded.

At the close of the market, AMG Packaging shed 14 cents in trading 52,000 units to close at $1.90, Caribbean Producers lost 29 cents to end at $4.51, in swapping of 52,000 shares, Consolidated Bakeries ended with a loss of 1 cent at $1.74 with 40,000 stock units changing hands. Dolphin Cove climbed $1 to settle at $10 with an exchange of 100 shares, Derrimon Trading rose 9 cents and exchanged 298,418 shares and finished at $2.69. Elite Diagnostic rose 28 cents and swapped 10,650 shares at $5.78. Everything Fresh rose 7 cents with 156,568 shares changing hands at $1.25, Fontana ended market activity exchanging 101,689 shares to close at $7.23 after falling 27 cents. General Accident closed trading of 21,635 units and gained 64 cents to end at $8.15, GWest Corporation closed 9 cents higher at $1.14, with 809 stock units crossing the exchange. Honey Bun lost 30 cents in trading 40,000 units to land at $6.30, iCreate declined 5 cents in trading of 101,598 units at 65 cents, ISP Finance gained $2 to end at $27 with an exchange of 10,200 stock units, Jamaican Teas ended with a loss of 1 cent at $6.24 with 4,510 stock units changing hands. Jetcon Corporation declined by 19 cents trading of 44,000 units at $1.80, Lasco Manufacturing climbed 15 cents as it exchanged 266 shares at $5.35, Limners and Bards added 2 cents, trading 24,700 shares at $2.74 and Stationery and Office Supplies lost 20 cents in trading 10,380 stock units to close at $12.30.
