Sharp drop in Junior Market trading

Trading on the Junior Market dropped sharply on Friday after Thursday’s trading which comprised just over 3 million Jamaican Teas’ shares. Trading ended on Friday with 7 stocks rising and 10 falling as 24 securities traded versus 20 on Thursday.
A total of 789,261 units valued $5,071,496 traded, compared to 3,831,459 units valued $19,055,812 on Thursday. At the end of trading, the market index slipped 3.42 points to 3,253.52.

.At the close of the market, AMG Packaging gained 15 cents and closed at $4.60 with 213,250 units changing hands, Blue Power closed at $56.50 with 3,300 units trading, CAC 2000 closed at $7.50 in trading 750 units, Cargo Handlers lost 20 cents and closed at $16.30 with 3,500 shares trading, Caribbean Cream lost 50 cents in trading 266,500 units to end at $7.50, Caribbean Producers traded 27,470 units and fell 13 cents to end at $3.37, Consolidated Bakeries traded 7,076 shares to close at $3.20, C2W Music had 12,626 units changing hands to close at 45 cents after falling 5 cents, Derrimon Trading dropped $1 and ended at $8.50 with 210 shares changing hands, Eppley fell $1.99 with 1,000 units changing hands, to close of $10.01. Honey Bun had 3,530 shares changing hands to close at $6.86, after falling 14 cents, Iron Rock Insurance traded 86,573 shares to end at $3.20, Jamaican Teas traded at $4.30 with 5,969 units, Jetcon Corporation ended at $14.80 with 7,650 shares trading, after rising 20 cents, KLE Group rose 15 cents and ended at $2.10 with 8,000 shares changing hands, Knutsford Express added 50 cents and traded 41,363 shares in closing at $16.50, Lasco Distributors fell 5 cents and ended trading 20,100 units at $7.40, Lasco Financial rose 20 cents, with 1,000 shares changing hands to end at $4. Lasco Manufacturing gained 19 cents to $5 in trading 58,348 shares. Main Event fell 16 cents and ended trading 7,764 shares at $6.49. Medical Disposables ended at $6 with 10,662 units crossing the exchange, tTech ended with 500 units trading with a rise of 24 cents at $7.75 and Eppley 10% preference share, ended with 1,000 units changing hands at $6.60.
