New highs & lows for TTSE stocks – Thursday

The Composite Index gained 0.21 points to close at 1,109.96, the All T&T Index fell 1.33 points to close at 1,757.31 and the Cross Listed Index rose by 0.24 points to close at 61.53.
IC bid-offer Indicator| The Investor’s Choice bid-offer indicator ended with 4 stocks with bids higher than their last selling prices and 7 with offers that were lower.
Gains| National Commercial Bank (NCB) rose by 3 cents, in trading 50,000 shares at $2.50, for a 52 week’s closing high. NCB price seems set to rise further with bid at $2.50 to buy 177,336 shares and the offer at $2.75 to sell 55,000 units, Scotia Investments traded 3,800 shares with a gain of 4 cents to close at $1.65. Positive sentiment continues flowing from a pick-up in oil prices and helped investors push Trinidad and Tobago NGL up 1 cent, to close at $21.51 with 1,200 units changing hands and West Indian Tobacco traded 122 units with a gain of 2 cents to close at $126.30.
Losses| Prestige Holdings with 990 units changing hands ended at $10.90 to record a loss of 21 cents and Scotiabank dropped $1.10 in trading 41,795 shares with a value of $2,203,885, to end at 52 week’s Low of $52.
Firm Trades| Angostura Holdings close at $12.75, with 100 units changing hands, Clico Investments ended with 55 shares changing hands at $22.65, First Citizens Bank closed with 440,006 shares changing hands for a value of $13,200,180 to close at $30, Guardian Holdings closed at $12.84 with 1,475 shares changing hands. JMMB Group traded 29,298 shares to end at 60 cents, National Enterprises traded 270 shares and closed at $11.15, Point Lisas traded 100 shares and closed at $3.70 and L.J. Williams 8% preference traded 420 units at $3.30.
