Junior Market’s second day of solid gains

Trading closed on the Junior Market of the Jamaica Stock Exchange Monday, with the volume of stocks traded rising 32 percent with a 27 percent greater value than on Friday after 43 securities traded similar to Friday and ending with prices of 17 rising 20, declining and six closing unchanged and sent the Junior Market Index surging 82.22 points to 4,298.75 and follows 72.17 points jump on Friday.
A total of 20,936,329 shares were traded for $79,292,490 up from 15,802,738 units at $62,557,377 on Friday.
Trading averaged 486,891 shares at $1,844,011 versus 367,506 shares at $1,454,823 on Friday with the month to date, averaging 425,481 units at $1,799,142 up from 395,129 units at 1,776,965 on the previous trading day. August closed with an average of 407,186 units at $1,330,946.
Fosrich led trading with 8.75 million shares for 41.8 percent of total volume followed by ONE on ONE Educational with 4.68 million units for 22.3 percent of the day’s trade. Dolla Financial chipped in with 1.98 million units for 9.5 percent market share and Future Energy Source ended, up with 1.14 million units for 5.5 percent of stocks trading.

Investor’s Choice bid-offer indicator shows six stocks ended with bids higher than their last selling prices and three with lower offers.
At the close, Access Financial popped $1.49 in closing at $25 after trading`598 shares, AMG Packaging shed 34 cents to close at $3.65 while exchanging 25,872 units, Blue Power lost 36 cents in ending at $3.12 with an exchange of 16,952 stock units. Cargo Handlers advanced 15 cents to $12.50 after a transfer of 7,161 stocks, Caribbean Cream rallied 37 cents to close at $4.37 in exchanging 112 shares, Dolphin Cove climbed 18 cents to $15.18 after swapping 101,784 stock units. Everything Fresh dipped 22 cents to $1.73 as investors exchanged 57,612 stocks, Fontana fell 27 cents in closing at $9.24 with a transfer of 306,568 units, Fosrich rose 56 cents to $4.71 after trading 8,749,441 units. Future Energy Source dropped 18 cents to close at $5.03 with investors transferring 1,143,023 stocks, General Accident declined 37 cents to $4.98 in exchanging 10,024 shares, Honey Bun gained 45 cents in closing at $7.95 after exchanging 2,972 stock units. iCreate increased 15 cents to $4.15, with 227,115 units clearing the market, Iron Rock Insurance shed 31 cents to close at $2.69 while trading 21,076 stock units, Jamaican Teas dipped 24 cents to end at $2.51, with 528,897 shares changing hands. KLE Group 0rose 27 cents to close at $2.07 after 625 stocks crossed the market, Lumber Depot declined 26 cents to $2.84, with an exchange of 102,995 shares, MFS Capital Partners climbed 54 cents to $3.75 in switching ownership of 372,138 stock units. ONE on ONE Educational gained 57 cents in closing at a record high of $2.32 in trading 4,676,141 stocks and leaving 19 million to buy on the bid at $2.32 at the close. Spur Tree Spices rallied 14 cents to $3.94, with 232,121 units crossing the exchange and Stationery and Office Supplies advanced 93 cents to $17.93 in an exchange of 110,834 stock units.
In the preference segmentCAC 2000 9.5% preference share lost 18 cents in ending at $1 and closed with 13,112 stock units changing hands.
