Junior Market slips into holiday

Just 29 securities traded on Thursday, down a bit from the 35 stocks trading on Wednesday, at the close only price movements were lopsided with just six stocks rising, while 17 declined and six closed without a change as trading on the Junior Market ended for the week shortened by two separate holidays, one at the start and the other at the end.
At the close, the Junior Market Index slipped just 2.00 points to 3,294.17 after recording gains in early morning trading.
The PE Ratio, a measure used to compute an appropriate value of stocks, averaged 12.3 based on ICInsider.com’s 2021-22 earnings forecast.
Trading ended with marginal changes in the volume of value of stocks changing over the past two days, with 4,256,935 shares on Thursday for $11,419,242 versus 4,218,643 units at $11,909,607 on Wednesday. Future Energy Source controlled 29.5 percent of the market, with 1.26 million shares, Caribbean Flavours followed with 16.8 percent, amounting to 713,359 units and Lumber Depot 10.9 percent with an exchange of 464,372 units.
Trading averaged 146,791 units at $393,767, up from 120,533 at $340,274 on Wednesday. Trading month to date averages 241,307 units at $679,902, versus 279,912 units at $796,774 on Wednesday. July closed with an average of 163,918 units at $481,755.
Investor’s Choice bid-offer indicator shows three stocks ending with bids higher than their last selling prices and two with lower offers.
At the close, Dolphin Cove rallied 40 cents to $8.25, trading 1,150 shares, Elite Diagnostic fell 25 cents to $2.75 with a transfer of 56,433 stock units, Express Catering dropped 30 cents to $5 with 21,868 units changing hands. Fosrich shed 23 cents to close at $8.02 with an exchange of 37,042 stocks, Future Energy Source gained 10 cents to finish at $1.60, with investors switching ownership of 1,257,911 shares, GWest Corporation shed 7 cents to close at 92 cents with 5,500 stock units passing through the market. Honey Bun rose 5 cents to $6.80 with 8,308 units traded, Indies Pharma lost 8 cents to settle at $3.71 with a transfer of 27,470 shares, Knutsford Express dropped 60 cents to $6.60 with 32,425 stocks changing hands. Lasco Financial slipped 6 cents to $3.09 with investors swapping 48,336 units, Lasco Manufacturing lost 5 cents to close at $5.20 with an exchange of 71,700 stock units, Limners and Bards dropped 8 cents to $3.10, with 386,491 shares passing through the market. Main Event declined by 40 cents to $4.35 with 90,549 units traded, SSL Venture fell 16 cents to 71 cents, with a transfer of 30,000 stocks and Stationery and Office Supplies shed $1.50 to close at $5.75 with 14,400 shares crossing the exchange.
