Prices of all five stocks trading on the US dollar market of the Jamaica Stock Exchange on Monday fell after an exchange of 634 percent more shares than Friday, as Sygnus Credit Investments dominated trading with 81 percent of the day’s volume.
The JSE USD equity index fell 3.29 points to settle at 184.26. The average PE Ratio ended at 13 based on ICInsider.com forecast of 2020-21 earnings.
The market closed with an exchange of 1,714,384 shares for a consideration of US$265,400, up sharply from 233,569 units at US$92,790 on Friday.
Trading averaged 342,877 units at US$53,080, in contrast to an average of 38,928 shares at US$15,465 on Friday. Month to date averaged 75,575 units at US$12,016, in contrast to 42,162 units at US$6,883. By comparison, November averaged 51,134 units for US$4,516.
Investor’s Choice bid-offer indicator reading for the market shows two stocks ending with bids higher than their last selling prices and one with a lower offer.
At the close of the market, First Rock Capital Investment lost three-tenths of a cent to end at 8.5 US cents, in trading 8,150 units, Margaritaville fell by 2 US cents in ending at a 52 weeks’ low of 11 US cents, with investors switching ownership of just 201 units. The stock closed without a bid to buy any. 
Proven Investments shed 1.97 US cents to close at 24 US cents, in trading 285,385 shares. Sterling Investments lost 0.35 of a cent to settle at 2 US cents, with 28,000 stock units changing hands and Sygnus Credit Investments declined by 1.79 US cents to close at 14.01 US cents, with 1,392,648 shares crossing the exchange after the company posted details of its public share offer, with existing shareholders entitled to purchase shares as low as $14.70 each.
