J$ loses against pound & Can$ – Tuesday

The Jamaican dollar lost value on Tuesday against the Canadian Dollar and the British pound but was virtually stable versus the US dollar. Purchases of all currencies by dealers amounted to US$51,807,330 compared with the US$47,429,215, on Monday and selling of the equivalent of US$55,758,481 versus US$48,069,553 on the prior trading day.
FX sum 3-3-15 In US dollar trading, dealers bought US$45,557,294 compared to US$43,879,394 on Monday. The buying rate for the US dollar increased by 15 cents to end at $115.24 and US$51,146,506 was sold versus US$46,156,443 on Monday, the selling rate fell 2 cents to $115.58 The Canadian dollar buying rate rose $1.58 to $91.79 with dealers buying C$4,543,331 and selling C$3,944,987, at an average rate that climbed 20 cents to $92.23. The rate for buying the British Pound rose 34 cents to $175.62 for the purchase of £1,592,311, while £751,710 was sold, at an average rate of $177.62, up 26 cents. At the end of trading it took J$129.42 to purchase the Euro, 29 cents down from Monday, according to data from Bank of Jamaica, while dealers purchased the European common currency at J$126.91 for 31 cents less than on Monday. Other currencies bought, amounted to the equivalent of US$204,288 while the equivalent of US$308,994, was sold.
FXHL 3-3-15Highs & Lows| The highest buying rate for the US dollar, fell 20 cents to $115.80, the lowest buying and the highest selling rates remained at $94.36 and $120.91 respectively. The lowest selling rate dropped $1.86 to $94.36. The highest buying rate for the Canadian dollar dived 40 cents to $92.60, the lowest buying rate climbed $1.24 to $73.12. The highest selling rate gained 95 cents to $95 and the lowest selling rate put on $1.50 to $88.10. The highest buying rate for the British Pound, jumped $3.50 to $177.50. The lowest buying rate was up $3.03 to $142.47, the highest selling rate gained $3.91 to $183.67 and the lowest selling rate increased $3.95 to $171.65.
