With just over five minutes before trading ends on the Jamaica Stock Exchange, the latest listing on the market – West Indies Petroleum. 
There was no trading in the stock on opening day, but there was high interest to buy, with 198 bids covering 52.3 million shares, with bids as high as 58 cents. No stock was offered for sale.
The company was listed by introduction and would have had a limited number of shareholders at this time that may have curtailed selling.
